  1. Out in bulk pickup.
  2. Then, get rid of the old one.
  3. Yes, bought a new one.
  4. Saw this yesterday on facebook. The Model King and Moebius are planning on doing the 67-72 Chevy trucks. If true , that's good news. Would love to see a 67-70 Chevy pickup truck come out.
  5. Yes, I was told by Atlantis that the Snoopy Sopwith will come with the motor. I'm in.
  6. That's why it's just better to start a new topic because it's just too time consuming to search for old threads because of the poor search feature on this site. Also, you get fresh and up to date input from members . Back to the topic, as far as the BOP cars, there is not many requests for those when these "what would you like to see released" polls come up from time to time. This is probably related; there was a little write up about a month ago as to the direction the model car kit companies are going in ; and that is, doing releases of mid 60's through the 70's car and truck kits. I was surprised to read this, but that is the direction. Proof is we see the just released 70.5 Camaro z28, Grumpy's Vega, 65 Plymouth Satellite stock and AWB cars . Coming soon is the AMT 64 Cutlass convt, Ford Indy drag set, 63 Chevy II wagon and the 72 Chevy truck with racing wedge kits and so on. Looks like an exciting time to be in the model car hobby.
  7. Here is the Snoopy Sopwith all together.
  8. Round 2 needs to do a re release on this one.
  9. It's interesting how this thread veered off from discussion of the Revell 71 351 Mustang to model cars of the 50's.
  10. Lots of good advice given here about going in person to pick up the collection. The worst that can happen is you show up and see the collection wasn't what you thought it be. You just simply walk away. No dealing with shipping things back in forth.
  11. Last time I saw a Dodge LS 1000 was around 91 or 92, in western Pembroke Pines, FL. The truck and trailer was orange and owned by a moving company.
  12. I agree too. I drove from Pembroke Pines, FL to Dade City, FL to pick up trunk lid at a salvage yard. It was 5 hours each way. I'm glad I did it. It was long time since I took a road trip , but I needed to get out and do it.
  13. 6 hours driving is not that bad. If I were in your shoes, I would do that 6 hour drive. If your there in person your going to be able to check and look at the collection. Any issues or something not right you address it there instead of having to deal with that when you receive the shipment. I wouldn't do it any other way.
  14. Saw this at Hobby Lobby the other day. Love the back in the day style of boxart,
  15. I remember when Tom Carter of Hobby Heaven used to do this years ago. He either got a list from the kit companies of possible subjects the company was looking to do or he did a poll to see what kits builders wanted to see and got feedback , then relayed that back. I forgot the format he did; maybe someone here remembers. What's been here through the years was to have a thread going where each member submits 5-10 subjects they would want to see come out from the kit manufacturers.
  16. The 64 Belvedere and kit has already hit the Hobby Lobby's. It's interesting how some of these kits hit Hobby Lobby right when they are announced.
  17. Yes . They are still in business. Here is the link. https://mcwfinishes.com/
  18. Yes, It will come with the motor. Atlantis replied to an email asking about the motor. Here is the email. Hello, the little motor will be included. Peter Hello, I don't need any parts , but I have a question about the announcement of the Snoopy Sopwith Camel model. Will it be motorized, like the original kit was back in the early 70's. I built this kit back in the early 70's and it was motorized. I hope it will be motorized. Thank you.
  19. It was mentioned that Don Holthaus is just doing special projects now. Anyone know what special projects he has done or is doing? Since no one has come forward to buy the business at least Don is keeping the business alive in some way , shape or form.
  20. Thanks for clearing that up. Good news that Round did this. Hopefully Round 2 will continue to dig deep into their vaults and find more subjects for us modelers.
  21. Couple years ago a board member did a model kit proposal for either Dodge Polara or Dodge Monaco. Was trying to search for it. Not able to find it. If any one happen to bookmark it, could you please post it here? Thanks.
  22. Great to see this one come out. So , this is the 1st time since the 60's that this kit was released? How much work was needed to be done to the original tooling besides the motorcycle to reissue this kit?
  23. Very true and valid. Because of this alot of mom and pop hobby shops are going by the wayside. Inventory; sometimes it doesn't justify having xyz kit on the shelf. That xyz kit that you liked and bought ; chances are it has been sitting for maybe a year on that shelf because you were the only one that bought it. Had the hobby shop owner had ten of those kits, he would have lost money for having that inventory. So, it's justified for that hobby shop owner to place an order for it. Yes, you can get it faster on the internet. Welcome to the world of e-commerce. That's one if the reasons for poor kit inventory , but more supplies, paints, etc.
  24. Interesting perspective. Just add ; the business venture would have to have been taken on a very large scale for it to turn a profit. Probably why no one has aqcuired the business.
