  1. Yes. The A-12 wheels are different than the 15" 1968 wheels. What is different are the centers. The 68 wheels have the dimpled centers that the lugs go through. On the 69 15" A-12 wheels; the wheels have a circular . raised looking plate that the lugs go through.
  2. I agree. Just the fact that Round 2 is bringing back kits we haven't seen in decades is outstanding. It does not bother me if certain details were not improved on. I'll still buy it.
  3. Pretty sure he has an allotment as well as the other two. Who knows how many each are getting to sell. Maybe they each are getting 1/3 of what is being produced. Only they know. I just made the statement that Wes's Model Car corner was taking orders today. Was just passing along the information. That's all that was.
  4. There probably will be future runs. If this sells well, more releases will come.
  5. If you go to Wes's Model Car Corner facebook page, he is taking preorders now.
  6. It's on Mike's Decals website. Under "new arrivals", then go down to bottom of page. https://www.mikesdecals.com/coming-soon-i-8.html
  7. Here is the Salvino 71 Charger box art.
  8. This is a new tooled kit. Awhile back Salvino's had showed the 3d renderings of both the 71 and 73 Charger stock car bodies. Salvino's tooled the 71 Charger themselves. Wes's Model Car Corner, Model Roundup and Mikes Decals are investing in this. Kind of what the Model King does with Moebius. The 71 Charger kit is an exclusive that can only be bought through these three companies.
  9. Salvino's is doing a limited run of 2800 1971 Dodge Charger generic stock car kits. Model Roundup, Wes's Model Car Corner , Mikes Decals got together to do this run. They are the only ones selling this kit. Wes's Model Car corner is taking pre orders now. https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=10219202144630480&set=gm.2822461291340924 Here is the Salvino's podcast talking about this. They start talking about the limited edition kit at the 12:30 mark on the time line. https://www.facebook.com/salvinosjrmodels/videos/?ref=page_internal
  10. Big thanks to Round 2 for retooling the Cutlass kit and for Tim Boyd to give us a great review on the kit. Finally Round 2 is re doing and modifiying their tooling. A while back I remember the naysayers were stating that Round 2 wasn't going to retool anything because the cost was not viable. Well, the naysayers were wrong and now we are seeing things come out of Round 2's vaults. Let's keep supporting Round 2.
  11. Was thinking about using the 69-70 grill on the Chevy c/10 truck/wedge kit.
  12. Just saw that B-N-L Resins sell a 69-70 C/10 truck grill.
  13. Stevens International just listed the taxi version of the 70 Galaxie. AMT PLASTIC MODEL KITS AMT-1243 1/25 1970 Ford Galaxie Taxi $32.95 TBA
  14. I know there is already a pic of the 64 Cutlass box art. Stevens International just posted a pic of the kit in the AMT listings. Looks like we're pretty close to getting this one. https://www.stevenshobby.com/viewpicture.aspx?productid=474303
  15. I appologize if this is redundant. This was in Fine Scale Modeler. What's interesting is the last three paragraphs. Could be a good thing for us. Hope it's true that Round 2 will create more new model car tooling. With this investment being pumped into Round 2 we could very well see highly requested kits come to fruition alot sooner. In the same press release, Jason Drattell, Praesidian founder, said the investment firm recognized Round 2 as a "market leader in the collectibles space" and will support the management team as the company "continues to expand its product offerings.” Glenn Harrison, a Praesidian Capital partner remarked Praesidian sees a "significant consolidation opportunity within the highly fragmented collectibles space." Round 2 announced last week that it had acquired a license to produce Star Wars model kits, adding to the growing list of high-profile brands its working with, including Hot Wheels, Hasbro and Monopoly, and James Bond. According to Chad Reid, a Round 2 spokesperson, modelers can anticipate Round 2 to approach the Star Wars license similarly to the other science-fiction kits it produces. “That means we will be re-popping old kits and tooling new stuff,” Reid said. Round 2 looks to bring the first Star War reissues to market in late summer or early fall. The exact lineup has yet to be determined.Additionally, Round 2 expects to create new molds in many of its legacy brand categories, including cars. With the ink on the deal barely dry, the company in the midst of planning where they’ll focus first for new tools. When asked if Round 2 was looking to grow more into the pre-finished collectibles space, Reid said it was “business as usual” for now with a concentration on growing current product lines.“As we grow, we may look into other brands that would fit under the Round 2 umbrella, but all of that will be in due time,” Reid said.
  16. What I would like to see are: MPC 68 Coronet: utilize a better chassis MPC 69 Coronet: utilize a better chassis. MPC 72 Dodge Truck
  17. Lets all hope for positive outcomes for Round 2 and us model builders. The ball has started to roll for production of model car subjects that we haven't seen in over 50 years. I'm sure with Tom Lowe at the helm, the future for Round 2 will even be brighter. This is a chance for new money to come in to support future model kit subjects. We could very well see more highly requested kit subjects come out and come out even sooner than we have seen in the past.
  18. Wanted to find out who sells the resin 68-70 Chevy c/10 truck front grills?
  19. I tried searching here. But did not find anything. If you still have the pics stored in your hard drive, please post them here. Thanks.
  20. I can see these kits being turned into street rods and gassers. Looks like a lot of nice kits coming out.
  21. Maybe the original author of this thread can post a pic of this model so we can see what is being discussed.
  22. Casey, I was reading the phrase in your last sentence; "people realize this may never happen again" . Is it possible that Round maybe doing one final run of the old annuals that were produced from the 60's through the 70's?
  23. With the new technology of 3D printing and Round 2's willingness to redo their tooling , the MPC 68 Coronet could very well come out sooner than we think. Utilizing the Roadrunner/GTX/Superbee chassis with a new 68 Coronet body and interior will complete the kit. I always say, keep contacting Round 2 and let them know that this needs to be released.
  24. What the person was trying to say was that the AMT 59 Imperial kit can be found at Hobby Lobby. The person was referring to the Imperial kit and not the 63 Chevy II wagon kit. That's all that was. I think when people read the statement they thought the person was referring to the upcoming 63 Chevy II. That statement got a few people excited. After reading that I bet some people were going Hobby Lobby to get the 63 Chevy II kit.
