  1. Was thinking about using the 69-70 grill on the Chevy c/10 truck/wedge kit.
  2. Just saw that B-N-L Resins sell a 69-70 C/10 truck grill.
  3. Stevens International just listed the taxi version of the 70 Galaxie. AMT PLASTIC MODEL KITS AMT-1243 1/25 1970 Ford Galaxie Taxi $32.95 TBA
  4. I know there is already a pic of the 64 Cutlass box art. Stevens International just posted a pic of the kit in the AMT listings. Looks like we're pretty close to getting this one. https://www.stevenshobby.com/viewpicture.aspx?productid=474303
  5. I appologize if this is redundant. This was in Fine Scale Modeler. What's interesting is the last three paragraphs. Could be a good thing for us. Hope it's true that Round 2 will create more new model car tooling. With this investment being pumped into Round 2 we could very well see highly requested kits come to fruition alot sooner. In the same press release, Jason Drattell, Praesidian founder, said the investment firm recognized Round 2 as a "market leader in the collectibles space" and will support the management team as the company "continues to expand its product offerings.” Glenn Harrison, a Praesidian Capital partner remarked Praesidian sees a "significant consolidation opportunity within the highly fragmented collectibles space." Round 2 announced last week that it had acquired a license to produce Star Wars model kits, adding to the growing list of high-profile brands its working with, including Hot Wheels, Hasbro and Monopoly, and James Bond. According to Chad Reid, a Round 2 spokesperson, modelers can anticipate Round 2 to approach the Star Wars license similarly to the other science-fiction kits it produces. “That means we will be re-popping old kits and tooling new stuff,” Reid said. Round 2 looks to bring the first Star War reissues to market in late summer or early fall. The exact lineup has yet to be determined.Additionally, Round 2 expects to create new molds in many of its legacy brand categories, including cars. With the ink on the deal barely dry, the company in the midst of planning where they’ll focus first for new tools. When asked if Round 2 was looking to grow more into the pre-finished collectibles space, Reid said it was “business as usual” for now with a concentration on growing current product lines.“As we grow, we may look into other brands that would fit under the Round 2 umbrella, but all of that will be in due time,” Reid said.
  6. What I would like to see are: MPC 68 Coronet: utilize a better chassis MPC 69 Coronet: utilize a better chassis. MPC 72 Dodge Truck
  7. Lets all hope for positive outcomes for Round 2 and us model builders. The ball has started to roll for production of model car subjects that we haven't seen in over 50 years. I'm sure with Tom Lowe at the helm, the future for Round 2 will even be brighter. This is a chance for new money to come in to support future model kit subjects. We could very well see more highly requested kit subjects come out and come out even sooner than we have seen in the past.
  8. Wanted to find out who sells the resin 68-70 Chevy c/10 truck front grills?
  9. I tried searching here. But did not find anything. If you still have the pics stored in your hard drive, please post them here. Thanks.
  10. I can see these kits being turned into street rods and gassers. Looks like a lot of nice kits coming out.
  11. Maybe the original author of this thread can post a pic of this model so we can see what is being discussed.
  12. Casey, I was reading the phrase in your last sentence; "people realize this may never happen again" . Is it possible that Round maybe doing one final run of the old annuals that were produced from the 60's through the 70's?
  13. With the new technology of 3D printing and Round 2's willingness to redo their tooling , the MPC 68 Coronet could very well come out sooner than we think. Utilizing the Roadrunner/GTX/Superbee chassis with a new 68 Coronet body and interior will complete the kit. I always say, keep contacting Round 2 and let them know that this needs to be released.
  14. What the person was trying to say was that the AMT 59 Imperial kit can be found at Hobby Lobby. The person was referring to the Imperial kit and not the 63 Chevy II wagon kit. That's all that was. I think when people read the statement they thought the person was referring to the upcoming 63 Chevy II. That statement got a few people excited. After reading that I bet some people were going Hobby Lobby to get the 63 Chevy II kit.
  15. RichCostello MCM Ohana Members 1,186 posts Location:Pocatello, Id Full Name:Richard Costello Report post Posted yesterday at 12:04 AM It's on the shelf at Hobby Lobby right now. The person was referring to the AMT 59 Imperial when they said "it's on the shelf at Hobby Lobby right now." Hope that clears that up.
  16. I contacted Round 2 a few months ago about the 71 Dodge Demon. They stated to me that they will not be releasing it at this time This was back in June..
  17. Anyone know more about the 79 Firebird Delivery? Is this by any chance the Pontiac Firebird Kammback wagon , like the one that I beleive Lindberg did back in the early 90's?
  18. The very last sentence says it all. If it takes Coca Cola branding to get the get the old annuals back out into production, I'm all for it. Yes, Round 2 start doing Coke branding to all your future releases.
  19. The very last sentence says it all. If it takes Coca Cola branding to get the get the old annuals back out into production, I'm all for it. Yes, Round 2 start doing Coke branding to all your future releases.
  20. Definetly hats off to Round 2. Glad Round 2 is doing this. I beleive we will be seeing more now that Round 2 sees the demand and need to get these old annuals up into production again.
  21. Speaking of the trailer which was included years ago with the Coronet ,Challenger and other kits back in the day; would there be any interest to have the trailer back? MPC simply dropped having the trailer by the 70's. It could be released without much difficulty . But, would it sell better by itself as a stand alone kit or included as part of a model car kit? Over the years I can't recall much demand for the trailer.
  22. I agree with you Casey. Especially on the subject of MPC 68 and 69 Coronet R/T. Definetely on point with this. Considering what Round 2 is doing to bring the 63 Chevy II wagon and 64 Olds Cutlass to production, I beleive we have a very good chance of seeing the MPC Coronets again. As you stated; doing the curbside first and the full on kits later will give more choices for a broader market. These would be good sellers.
  23. That's awsome news. Round 2 is pushing to make it happen. Excellant.
  24. I whole heartedly agree. We will be seeing alot AMT and MPC old annuals up to and including the late 60's being produced because of 3D printing. A very exciting time for the model car builders.
  25. Very true about the price point. However, you proved my point in your last sentence. Model car builders will not pay more money for a kit even if its more accurate.
