  1. This arguing back and forth is doing nothing for this thread. All that is happening is for this thread to get locked. Wait till you get the model in your hands, then decide for yourself.
  2. That's good that the grill has no R/T emblem. With the plain grill you could do a 68 Superbee or even a 440 model.
  3. Lets back up a little bit. Who cares how Model King designs the boxart. We need to applaud the Model King for doing what he is doing with model kit companies. If it wasn't for him and his financial backing of model kit companies we would never have seen exclusive kits come out ie; HUG, altered wheelbase Falcon, Pontiac Tempest and now the Mobius Ford pickup trucks. His partnership with the kit companies has been stellar.
  4. Could you post the article here?
  5. To add to the list: 67 Ford Galaxie and the 64 Pontiac Grand Prix. Anyone know if the 64 Grand Prix tooling is still around or scrapped?
  6. Here are the differences between the 1973 and 1975 Dodge Monaco's. Here are links that show more detailed pics of both cars. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-dodge-monaco-brougham/ https://www.classicautomall.com/vehicles/1194/1975-dodge-monaco-sedan
  7. The My Three Sons character Chip Douglas drove a 64 Tempest or Le Mans convertible during the 70 and 71 seasons.
  8. The 68 and 69 tooling is probably at Round 2. Wouldn't be surprised to these come out in the near future. Casey to the courtesy phone.
  9. I agree. They can call it something. I doubt there would be any licensing issues.
  10. In reference to sentence one. Requests for a re-release of the MPC 68 Coronet R/T kit was mentioned a couple of times in this very thread. It has also been mentioned many times on other threads about kits that should be done. This has been going on for many years. Round 2 is starting to listen and as a result we have gotten the Chevy ll and 64 Olds Cutlass kits released. The ball is rolling. I bet there will be some good surprises coming from the kit manufacturers before long.
  11. Round 2 needs to do a reissue of the MPC 1968 Coronet R/T kit. We haven't seen it in over 50 years. We have 3D printing , prototyping technologies available for kits to be re-engineered. Now is the time to do it. Please release this one.
  12. Good opportunity for us to voice our opinions.
  13. Thanks for the info. That's actually good news. I beleive the Husquivarna moto-cross and desert racer are the same.
  14. What kits did you see in the collection when you were there?
  15. Did they say anything about the motocross kit?
  16. Anyone know the release date on the 64 Olds hardtop kit?
  17. The the stock body hard top is next.
  18. Good job on the aftermarket 8 track under the dash.
  19. My bad. I should have not mentioned any scale. I was just asking if Atlantis had acquired the motocross/dirtbike kits that I pictured as part of the acquisition. I just grabbed images from the internet and posted them here for the board members to see. There was no mistake in it. Just showing the kits regardless if they were 1/8th or 1/12 scale. I hope that clears things up. Casey, thank you for pointing that out. Didn't realize that till you mentioned.
  20. Does anyone know if Atlantis acquired the tooling for the Revell 1/12 scale motocross kits? The kits were the Husquevarna, Yamaha, Suzuki dirtbikes.
  21.

    Hello,

Just read your post under the IPMS Nationals Kit topic.  You asked the question "why no 68 Coronet R/T".  I've been asking that question as well.  It's a very highly requested kit.  With all the 3D protoyping and reverse engineering of kits happening there is no reason why it can't come out.  I just recently emailed Round 2 about re-releasing the MPC 68 Coronet R/T kit.  I sent them a proposal for doing the kit.

Here is their email address.  Please  email them make a request.  If there are other people you know that build Mopar models, pass this email address to them so they can make a request.  The more people that do this the better the chance that Round 2 will listen and do a release.   The Round 2 email address is below.

  22. He probably found them at model kit swap meets.
  23. Looking forward to this one. I ask myself; do I like the box art more than what's inside. Love how Round 2 is using the back in the day box art. Much better than plain pic of a car in front of a plain background.
  24. Very good points raised here but as far as keeping product in Hobby Lobby and brick and mortar hobby shop shelves; Round 2 seems to have taken a different direction. They are reviving old kits for the nostalgia builders ,those that built kits back in the day; ie, Craftsman kits (Chevy ll Wagon, 64 Cutlass convt, etc.) The Cutlass kit is already in Hobby Lobby. I ask ,how many of the younger, occasional builder types are going to buy that AMT 64 Cutlass convt at Hobby Lobby? Probably a very small percentage. Because, they don't know what that modelling subject is. In reference to the person wanting to see a retool of the 71 Roadrunner and 72 Ventura; I think we are going to see those and other surprises come out.
