That hanger shot didn't start this thread. The AMT 64 F-85 Streaker Altered wheelbase kit was among many kits mentioned by the forum members as possibly being Round 2's big announcement. It's was just speculation, I was the one that asked if someone could post the pic of the AMT 64 Cutlass hanger shot in this thread, because I thought the altered wheelbase parts were in the hanger shot, which some are and some are not. It just happened that there is another kit named the Streaker, which is the Corvette Street Machine kit that was just announced. Anyway, just wanted to clear that up.

Will Round 2 be at the National Hobby Show in Las Vegas next week? Maybe Round 2 will announce the mystery kit at that show?
-
Absolutely. Within a couple years SJR has been the forefront in the release of vintage Nascar subjects. Now, they are well known. They are picking up from where Revell and MPC left off years ago. Manufacturing of these kits are here in the U.S. The kits are priced ok. They are very in tune as to what subjects nascar builders want to see. They are doing well.

Is the 32 Ford Phantom Vicky kit the big annnouncement Round 2 was going to make?
-
So true. Buy today, then Round 2 makes the big announcement on Monday that they will be releasing the AMT Streaker F-85 altered wheel base kit.

Me too. Really excited about this. Probably at or close to the top of the list of most requested kits. Good chance this will sell well. -
I only built one, as well and that was the AMT 57 Chevy 3 in 1 kit that I bought in the mid 80's.

Can someone post that hanger shot here?

Would that color have been Chartreus. I guarantee that was spelled wrong. -
I hope everything is ok with him. I miss reading his posts.

Just wanted to throw this out there. The big announcement from Round 2; is it something that will be jaw dropping and we'll be doing back flips over? Maybe someone here in the know will tell us without exposing what the subject is.

What would YOU like to see as a model

New Kits of Old Subjects from Round2
GMP440 replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Maybe this is on the way. Round 2 is supposed to make an announcement soon on something they are working on. -
It could be or it could be the Un Real Edsel. That was in the same series of Street Freak kits that the Cutlass Streaker kit was in. But , I hope your right about the Streaker.

New Kits of Old Subjects from Round2
GMP440 replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I beleive Round is starting to get on a roll in doing updated kits of subjects we have not seen in years. I bet that Round 2 sees the potential for profits by doing this or they would not be doing it. The Craftsman 63 Chevy 2 wagon kits and the 64 Cutlass kits are just a couple that is starting this trend. Now there is the technology of 3d printing and prototyping that are bringing these subjects to light. Lot's of great subjects can finally be released again. So, what could be next? -
I saw that too. Looks like a Lola GT in the 1st and 2nd boxes and the 3rd on the right maybe an Indy car. Could be a teaser. Maybe one of those subjects will be the big announcement.

The Cyclone has custom and racing parts. The Shelby team built as the racing version.
