  1. Saw that too. Been on for few months. Not selling probably because the reissue is coming.

    Casey??

Welcome. Glad your back. Missed reading your posts.
  3. Absolutely! Just scratching the surface now. Just imagining kits we wish to could come out again could very well become reality.
  4. Tim Boyd mentioned that the 68 Coronet hardtop will be after the convertible. This is his response on that , which was a few responses up on this topic. I would expect a hardtop version to follow probably about 9-12 months after the convertible if past timing by Round 2 of derivative kits using the "cloning" method is any example. Later on, I expect you may even see a third version using this tooling set, based on the hardtop body, but that one could follow a year or two after the hardtop (my guess only). 5. Hello, That one came out about 2 years ago.
  6. I would agree with you saying we didn't know how it would actually come out. I don't think anyone would have known. That is true. Really don't care how it happened. I'm glad it happened. To add, with new technologies coming on line ,far superior to that of ten years ago makes a lot of things feasible today. That's happening in a lot of industries.
  7. I'll pop the cork with you on this one as well. We proved the naysayers wrong on this. The convertible will be here in a few weeks. Later this year a hardtop, followed by a 3rd; a drag car.
  8. This one has never been reissued. Very highly requested kit that Round 2 has already done test shots already. Improvements in the body and interior have been made. It's on its way for a February release. On Youtube HPI guy did a review. All this and more info can be found on the "Return of the 68' Coronet" thread.
  9. My bad. You are correct. I thought it was in the 68 Coronet hdtp kit. It's not. Those lights are in the MPC 69 Coronet kit.
  10. The 68 hardtop kit will be coming out later in the year.
  11. Did Round 2 state that the 68 Coronet convt first run release is 5000 kits?
  12. Very happy this is finally happening. This could be a sell out. Definetly lots of positive comments on this thread.
  13. The Allison kit is a good kit as well. Pretty much the same as the Grone's Cyclone. However, the gold number 21 decals are a solid gold and not the reflective gold. The Salvino's Allison 1971 Dodge Charger Nascar kit has the correct reflective gold 1 and 2 numbers , but are the wrong font. I beleive one of the decal makes a correct Allison Cyclone decal set with the reflective gold numbers. Something to check into if you are looking for accuracy.
  14. I think it's a good nascar kit. It only builds as a nascar kit. However, in the box you will find a set of chrome slotted rally wheels and tail lights. Decals, let you build a Grone's sponsored Cyclone or a Wendell Scott #34 car. I'm doing the Scott car. Almost done with it.
  15. Will definetly be getting the 68 Coronet kit. Really looking forward to this for a long time.
  16. I would bet that one is already on it's way to HPI Guy as we speak.
  17. I would put money on the table that the 67 Galaxie kit will be a reissued in the very near future. That's another highly requested kit. Probably on the list of subjects Round 2 is looking to release.
  18. What are the chances of Round 2 cloning just the Ski Boat and trailer kit? What would the interest level be on this one? Maybe Steve G. or Tim Boyd could give a better idea on this.
  19. I wonder what mockup #4 as well as the paired projects will be? Maybe this week we will see them.
  20. Not exactly with the current AMT 70 Camaro. This is for the MPC 75 Firebird. I fitted the chassis from the AMT Baldwin Motion Camaro kit. That chassis fits well. Also, I used the engine bay from the BM Camaro to fit in the 75 Firebird. That fit well too.
  21. When the MPC 68 Coronet hardtop kit gets released after the convertible kit would love to do a Dick Landy car and a Paul Goldsmith car.
  22. Now that Round 2 has the 68 Coronet convertible coming soon followed by the hardtop afterwards will try to build these two. Fireball Modelworks produces these hubcaps. The green hardtop is the one I own. Got it in 79 from my mother.
  23. Interesting how this topic got off topic from the 68 Coronet announcement to ownership rights of Johan and what kits or tooling is currently with the current owner.
  24. You're spot on. I agree. I don't think that thread will continue. I beleive we've closed the book on that one. We'll probably see new threads on this kit where builders are showing their completed Coronets. Thanks for the compliments.
