  1. To keep on track of this topic; were there any sketches or drawings done of the Johan Fury kit pictured ie; parts layout of body , interior, etc ? The only other picture I have seen is on the instruction from the 68' Police Fury; there is a picture of the roof section that looks identical to the shape of a 69 and up Plymouth Fury.
  2. I remember a while back a thread called ghost kits. Kits that were supposed to be released but never was. In that thread there was talk about Johan doing a 1970 Plymouth Fury back in 1970. Here is the Johan model car release ad that was on pg. 7 of the Model Car magazine. Whats is pictured is a 1970 Plymouth Fury police car. Other models advertised were the Haulin Hearse, AMC Hornet and 1970 Plymouth Superbird..
  3. I would add the MPC 68' and 69' Dodge Coronet R/T to the list of kits that may not have been butchered. I would be surprised that MPC used those to modify into the 70' Coronet R/T kit. The 70 is a very different car in the front fenders, grill , rear quarters and tailpanel areas. Maybe new tooling from scratch was the route MPC took to do a new Coronet kit for 1970. It's just speculation. Maybe Round 2 is looking into reissuing both years, but have not decided when because of other subject matter being released. Round 2 is releasing a lot of subjects that have not seen daylight for over 40 years. And these kits are being released quickly. It's possible we may see both the 68 and 69 released in the near future. We all would love to see these come out.
  4. When will this issue be released?
  5. Did anyone on this board enter the "build the MPC 68" Dodge Coronet R/T" contest, back in the day? Where there a lot of entries? Also, any pics of the Coronets that were entered. All the contestant had to do was just send in a picture of the build. This ad was in an old Model Car Science magazine that was online.
  6. When was the last time the Corvair drag car was issued?
  7. Very good trade experience with Vintagedragcrazy. All went well. Communication went well. Very good person to do business with.
  8. Wanted to ask those that do resin casting; how do do a mold for a steering wheel?
  9. I wanted to ask those that do resin casting; how do you do a mold for a steering wheel?
  10. Does anyone know where to get Ambroid Pro Weld? None of the hobby shops here carry it.
  11. You mentioned a 68' Coronet. Are you sure about that? If you go back can you take a pic of the box? The 68 Coronet was supposed to come out around 2007 but was cancelled.
  12. The Pactra multi line sheet is what I have. Just want a photo reduced version of that multi-line graphic. 8" long and a quarter inch wide is what I need.
  13. Does anyone know where I can get this type of body stripe in 1/24 or 1/25 scale. It's a multi stripe or mirage stripe. Thanks.
  14. I put a posting in the wanted section but it disappeared a few hours later. I checked the post and it was in the want section right after Why do they disappear?.
  15. It sounds interesting. However, I don't like the idea of being charged for a kit to be sent to me every month that I may not want. Want to be able to pick and choose. The only way I see joining is if they come out with kits that have not been out in 40 or 50 years and use those for the limited edition runs; ie, MPC 68' Dodge Coronet R/T, AMT 64' Grand Prix, AMT Chevy Impala/Chevelle drag team, etc. The Hotwheels Redline club does this. You sign up and pay the annual membership fee. Every month an old original Hotwheels car comes out and if you want it you buy it, if you don't like it you don't buy it and your not automatically charged for anything. The Hotwheel exclusives are very good and are from the 68 to 73 era; Custom Dodge Charger, King Cuda, Evil Weevil, Mighty Maverick, Beach Bomb , etc. They even came out with the Hotwheel car pictured on the packaging that came out in the late 60's. Also, you get a reproduction of the metal badge. If they take this direction more people would sign up. I hope it does not end up being kits that we've seen re-released over and over.
  16. Moebius should consider doing a 68' Dodge Coronet R/T. 3 different versions can be done. A stock version, a Dick Landy drag car, and the #99 Paul Goldsmith nascar racer
  17. I have casted parts and bodies in the past. I have used casting resin from Vagabond and the GI-1000 silicone rubber from Silicones INC. Those products worked well. I did try the Alumilite resin 10010. That works pretty good too. Also, I used the silicone rubber from MPK. It's the 2125 and works well. Just want to find out about the other resins and results people are getting.
  18. Wanted to get opinions from people that have cast resin; what is your favorite casting resin for larger parts and bodies? Thank you. George
  19. A while back someone was trying to master a 67-70 Plymouth Valiant in resin. Anyone know who that was? Did it ever get released? Thanks. George
  20. I had the good fortune of meeting and speaking with Dave Burkett at the NNL East back in 2001. I met his son too. They both were selling kits at their booth. He explained to me how he was working the Model King exclusives. He is a very approachable and interesting person to speak with. He is definetly an authority on model kits.
  21. Needed to get an opinion from those that have casted resin bodies. I have casted resin bodys from time to time. I have casted bodies and casted the hood separately. Is it better to cast the body with the hood on it and then cut the hood from the body after the body has been casted? I have done this before. All I had to do was just cut on the hood/body line and the hood is out. At least this way there would be no need to make another mold for just the hood. Thanks.
  22. Are you planning to cast that in resin? Lot of modelers would love to build any 69-73 Fury.
  23. If it's a 68 Coronet R/T. Amen to that. Been waiting years for that one.
  24. The grill on the white Monte Carlo is the one that I am asking about.
