Was the Cadillac Eldorado from the Contents page in the magazine? I was thinking it is or will be something offered by Fisher, but saw no mention of it.

Ok, those are some good answers I still scratch my head when it is something that is super rare. Something that has no "normal" price.

See if Pete J can cut a bunch of 22.5/45/60 and 90 degree fish mouths for you. If one isn't exactly what you need, use a round file to get those extra few degrees. If it's tubing and not rod, cut two pieces to get the length you need, then use a smaller plastic rod as a glue-in coupling to get the right length piece. Clean up the glue joint in the middle. Also works with anyone else who has a mill or lathe. (Put the piece of tubing in a vise on the lathe cross slide and put the end mill in the chuck)

I would love to see a '77-'79 Lincoln Mk V. I will not be holding my breath...or writing letters to the model companies. I wonder what the sales numbers look like for the Starsky and Hutch model? I used to watch that show as a kid. I did not buy the model. I scratched my head and wondered why they would release that car 40 years (or so) after the show ended.

The only reason I can think is to see what it sells for, but even that doesn't make much sense. A search for completed auctions would give the same info. There will be no bidding. It can be bought by someone else in an instant with no counter bids. Why add it to the watch list?

My offer was just over half what he was asking, so I'm kinda surprised. Sweet!

I think it would be cool to have 1/16 sleeper with windows or removable roof and put a tiny LED TV in it. It could represent a 32" (or so) flat screen. Have it play a movie while on display.

What if we could get a sticky thread where people can ask what kit has the part they want? Maybe another thread where people post about what kit has great parts for swapping. Examples: AMT 1962 Catalina custom has nice looking button-tufted interior. Moebius 1955 Chrysler has a great early Hemi engine. Then people could search for only the parts they want or the whole kit and trade off the unused parts.

I'll pass on those. Really not into those body styles/lookingbfor something inbuilt. Thanks for checking, though.

I also use tiny tubes. I started doing that ages ago, because of the mess you describe.

Griffon?!! Wow. Too bad it's crude. I would love to have a Griffon or two. That would make a wild pulling tractor.

I found someone overseas who once offered resin wheels and tires for the big Volvo. He's digging out the mold to see if it's good for a few more parts. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Is this the one from a Rod & Custom 2-part article about 50 years ago? Cool article, but I only have one part of it. Good luck on it. It's a really cool subject.

Oh yeah- if Jimmy Flintstone can do it, so can AMT.

But I REALLY WANT a Lycoming 420ci flathead straight-8 and a Franklin air-cooled flat-12. AMT are making a HUGE MISTAKE by not offering these in a Parts Pack. I mean come on, these engines could power anything (if you stretch the front end a bit). How hard can it be? Of course the doubting Thomases will say it won't sell, but how do they know? No one has ever offered these engines in a Parts Pack. They have to make them to find out. Did I cover all the usual arguments?

I believe that is Dave Zeuschel. I'm a big fan of warbirds and Reno racers. BTW there is a new resin kit builder who makes racing planes. He is taking pre-orders for Tsunami in 3 scales, with 3 different sets of markings/paint. Lots of other racing planes, too. Civilized Models, IIRC.

Local hobby shop unless they can't get it. I also want to see them stick around.
