See if you can find a Nitrogen cylinder; the type carried by HVAC service people and plumbers. Refills are not free, but it holds 3000 psi. I'm a plumber and my employer issued me one, but I have 2 of my own.

Seriously. I pre-ordered a Zoukei-Mura 1/32 Ta152H for $95. I later found out that only the initial issue was that expensive. Eh. Live and learn. It now sells for a lot more than I paid. Check prices of initial issue on ebay. Saying you feel cheated and that Tamiya owes you something sounds a lot like crying. I'm also amazed that so many people agree with you. My 1/12 Lola T70 doesn't have photoetch. I'll live.

Back in the '90s, a guy offered some phantom funny car bodies. One was a '90-(then) current Mercedes SL. Really cool stuff. I believe he passed away and his stuff is no longer available. I wish I had bought a few of them.

I think it's worthless, based on the resin Ferrari 712 Can-Am car I got from UMi modellwerke. I thought I might actually cry when I opened the box. After letting it sit in the stash for a few years, I decided to throw it away. Having a conscience, I couldn't sleep at night if I had sold it to anyone who thought it could ever be more than a paper weight. I mentioned that to a guy who sells resin kits and he offered me a Fisher 512 Coda Lunga in trade. I made sure he knew what a piece of garbage this kit was. He wanted to make it look like a 712 and sell copies. That was 12 years ago. He apparently gave up on it. Maybe you could donate it to the Model Car Builder's Museum. It is a piece of model car history. You did ask.

A 7.5hp rotary phase converter, so I can convert my residential single-phase power to 3-phase for running machine tools. It's overkill for what I have now (Bridgeport mill, South Bend 7" shaper, & South Bend 8" "Junior" lathe, but I may replace the South Bend stuff with bigger tools one day, and I also want a nice 3-phase grinder. No pics for the moment. I just ordered it over the phone. I can post a pic later tonight when I get home, and more when it arrives. I'm really happy abouy finally getting one of these. I've had the big machine tools for a while but couldn't use them. I have Sherline tools, but it's very easy to run out of room on them, especially when "stacking" accessories on the mill for making big parts like 1/8 scale engines. :-D edit: photo Not much to look at but I am really excited about it.

Relax, man. A hijack is a post which is off topic for the subject at hand. We're talking about an old model and I "hijacked" the thread by talking about Tamiya 1/32 motorized snap kits. Hijack=take it in a different direction

Another option might be current production snap-together 4x4s made by Tamiya. They are 1/32 and have motors. Lots of different body styles to choose from. I built a Willys Jeep and Mammoth dump truck with my nephew. He had a blast. Sorry for the hijack. I know that's frowned upon. o_O

I don't have that kit, and I'm looking at tiny pics on my cell phone, but that looks like a Chrysler hemi with holes for the spark plug wires. I would guess its a '50s 331/354/392 hemi. Maybe even a Red Ram hemi of smaller displacement.

3'x8'...or so. I found a guy selling commercial exterior doors on Craigslist. They're something like 1.5" thick and the door handle hole has cords passing through it. Oh yeah, an electric pencil sharpener cord, too. I got a couple of those when my National Guard company got rid of them. Great for reference marks while cutting and kitbashing. The supports are a pair of 2-drawer file cabinets. One has hanging files in it to organize my Evergreen plastic sheet and strips. A file for each step up in size (.010", 015", .020", etc, then other shapes like half-round, tube, triangular, etc.) The work surface is a glass door from an old stereo cabinet. I don't know if those things are still made, but whenever I see one put out with the trash, I take it. I have 3 or 4 extras, and I've never broken one. Cleanup is a breeze; just use a razor to scrape off glue or paint. The flat surface is also great for getting things aligned, like making sure all 4 wheels are on the ground. No pictures...it looks like a bomb went off in there. Oh yeah, I have a second one in the garage for the Sherline lathe and mill.

I can only comment on the Cadillacs. They're junk. They are copies of the IMEX/ARAI Cadillacs and the detail is soft on them. Also- the bodies have an orange peel texture. There's a reason they're so cheap.

I seriously need to spend less on models and more on real cars, but a 1/8 Aventador would be ***awesome*** I'd buy one.
