  1. Sweet I'll keep that in mind.
  2. Hey ya'll. I got this car here: Although mine is same color and all it has seen better days. Missing mirrors, hub caps etc. Body and interior outside of chipped and scratched paint is good. I am throwing around the idea of turning it into a Yenko with same color scheme. Or a Z28 in Victory Red and white. WHat is the best way to strip the paint and repaint. Just like a 1:1 car? I figure I will buy a 1:24 Camaro kit to scavenge parts. I hate to have this car look like this since I paid 100 bucks 8 years ago and the suspension and driveshaft are all functional. Detail is awesome too. Thanks for lookin.
  3. I love these old trucks. Looks awesome.
  4. Would someone out there have dimensions of a Mack B81 Grille, Hood and chassis all together? (length and width of cab) Also the length of a B model cab with integrated sleeper. I plan to buy both cabs from AITM but am getting some money together and then plan to integrate them (since I can't find a separate integral sleeper extension) together so I have a B81 with integral sleeper for a rig I am building. Thanks. Thought I had it in an email but can't find it???
  5. Mark, if we didn't push boundaries in the military itself we would never had convoy protection using home made hillbilliy armour gun trucks armed to the teeth. Vietnam we had 10 ton 6x6s with M113 personel carriers welded to the back with 30mm Bushmasters and in Iraq we had 8x8 Hemmits with .50 cals, mini guns and 240Bs. Then the Army finally realized we need gun trucks hence the armour upgrades we got. We always use ingenuity to upgrade our equipment and then the contractors use our designs we build to build new equipment better. Recently a squad came up with a backpack that held 2 ammo cans welded together with a link system similar to the minigun on Predator to facilitate more ammo and less reloading time in a fire fight. Now they have been implemented and are being built. Any how back on subject. All builds are looking good. Got the cab coming so I can make sure that my frame is correct length since no one seems to have the dimensions from the grille to the back of the cab on a B81 and then the additional length of an integral sleeper.
  6. I love the advanced design Chevy COE's (47.5 to 53) don't like the 54 Chevy grille (4th pic). The other model is around a 46 (3rd pic).
  7. Here is some inspiration. I used an SCCA Beretta Pic and photo shopped it to a wide body. Sorry the pic is small but I seem to have lost all others. If someone could blow it up full size and still have it quality I would appreciate it. The mirror is a little long.
  8. Yeah my wheel I am sure is a 70s issue of some type. Purple power did nothing for paint on my stuff.
  9. Ok so a few updates. Had to repaint the top of the cab and also did the sleeper since the holes where the air horn back tabs went had a glue build up I didn't notice right away and had to resand. So this is the repaint. Also got the kitty out of the chassis and painted it Chrysler yellow (not quite CAT yellow but close). And the rear wheels mounted. Final paint with clear and black stripes (painted)
  10. So this is ,y update pics. I striped it in black. I know they are more Pete stripes then Kwhopper but I liked the design. Again sorry about the quality. It still needs wet sanding to remove the rough edges and then maybe some foil and clear. I was going to paint the CAT yellow but am afraid of breaking stuff pulling it out so it will be green along with the chassis. Anyone got pointers for what Brand name and type of material would work for new windows? I broke the sleeper window coming out and windshield has a nice old glue spot in it.
  11. Got my 12v71 today.... . ***Dances a little Jig around the room** Time to start the fun stuff!
  12. Here is a new one I sketched: It is an MRAP 6x6 Gun Truck armed with a Ma Duece on the back turret, a MK19 40mm Grenade Launcher in the front turret and 4 M134 Miniguns attached to the Avenger Turret on the roof. My original design had a set of K9 teeth painted on the plow.
  13. Need a B81 Mack V8 Regular cab for the hood and grille and a B model cab with an integrated sleeper. Don't think anyone has the hood and grille separate or the B81 with integrated sleeper?? Integrated sleeper: B815 V8:
  14. My dad uses JB weld to fix 1:1 farm implement for various reasons and machines it as needed so it should work for your purpose.
  15. Its hit and miss. Sometimes it works and other times it don't work worth a ######.
  16. Yeah. Put 'er in the freezer overnight and broke it apart in the mornin'.
  17. May want to trim them fenderwells or you will get a flat or mashed metal if you put those tires all the way up . Looks good though.
  18. A 55 Chrysler 300 Tim "Flocko Jocko" Flock car. Nice piece of history. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOEBIUS-1955-Chrysler-300-NASCAR-Model-Car-Mountain-KIT-TIM-FLOCK-pre-sale-/140745730178?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20c5196882#ht_1179wt_1163
  19. Still waiting on parts. I have procured a 12v71 Detroit in exchange for my 16v71. Chassis is still at the same place because I need to get the cabs.
  20. I have had this on the shelf without paint and finally decided on a new layout for it. Hunter Green and Black. All trim is now black. It is the first series of this kit as are most of my models. ###### pics post like I originally had them. They won't post horizontal . Sorry about the poor quality. Cam on phone. This is progress pics: I need to repair the front axle as both ends have snapped off. This is what it looked like. Debating on leaving the chassis black or paint it hunter green?
  21. We should have a competition to see who can build a rig with the longest wheel base, lol. Looks good. Great Start.
  22. Funny I am hacking up that same KWhopper right now.
