  11. good news; thanks
  12. pretty much spread over the entire store. all shapes & sizes; there's bound to be one just for you.
  13. michaels is on my way to hobby lobby so I stop. I usually can get something with a coupon, but it's usually raw materials (plywood/ tools/ beads) rather than kits. local HL is better stocked with car models than the LHS 5 miles further up the road which caters to HO trains & military stuff.
  14. and not a curse anywhere. why can't that be the norm?

  17. anyone know why most utes have a cab that looks like it came from Joe's Garage & Novelty Company instead of a real automotive designer? if the El Camino & Ranchero styles can look like a professional created them, what harm would it have done to get a better looking job all 'round? the above looks like there was a surplus of shoebox roofs going out to the bin and they got snatched up.
  18. my experience in business communication has everyone responding, sometimes to the point of being overly solicitous, when things are going swell. but as soon as there's a hint of a problem, folks shut right down and make believe you don't even exist. just as everyone wants to be your friend when you're riding the crest, but it's the guys that step up when there's a problem that have my respect. I've gotten 2 calls from suppliers (jack @ model round-up & norm @ replicas and miniatures) because what I ordered was not within arm's length, and will continue to do business with them as long as they'll have me.
  19. there are those who are simply station wagon obsessed. case in point: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/?p=25500
