  1. Here is what my work bench looks like tonight, not as messy as usual but not as clean as it is most of the time. I bought this desk off of craigslist for $20 and I had to stripe it, I'm not done yet but I will finish it someday. cheers mat
  2. I'm always learning, I rebuilt and swaped the engine in my truck, and have done all sorts of repairs, I drive a 65 f-100 so you have to learn how to fix things on older cars because if it breaks I'm stuck. cheers mat
  3. Thanks for the ideas. I think for the time being I'll still paint out side but move it into the bathroom with the fart fan goin, it is even girlfriend aproved so that makes it that much better. cheers mat
  4. I was thinking about a paint booth but my girlfriend is very sensitive to paint smells, I dont have a airbrush yet, soon I hope. just spraypaint. how well do they keep the paint smell down? cheers mat
  5. I live in an apartment, and I only can paint outside ( its coverd but it still gets cold). The weather outside is getting cold and wet, what do you guys and girls do during the cold months. I'm worried I will have to stop building till the weather gets better. cheers mat
  6. Wow, Its perfect. I have been wanting to do a drylakes racer. Now I have to go get a kit! cheers mat

  12. I like to build models, thats why I joined this forum, not for the drama. I don't know what the problems really is, nor care. just go build and stop thinkin too much into this kinda junk. cheers mat

  14. I like it a lot, great detail! cheers mat
  15. You did a great job, I have been wanting to do this kit for a while, but it hasent been a priority. You have just changed my mind! cheers mat
  16. Hello again, I finished this up a few weeks ago and I wasn't going to post it because its nothing special but I figured why not? I did have fun building it but it just doesn't strike me as any thing spectacular. I did flocking, bmf (I had a few wrinkles), and wired it. I wish I would of sanded and polished but I didn't really know about it at that point. As usual let me know what you all think. cheers mat
  17. Yeah it is the revell kit, I usually hate flames and I never use the decal graphics but I thought it may cover some blemishes. cheers mat
  18. The flames and pinstripes are just decals, I know I should put some real ones on (seeing that I pinstripe on the big cars) but I never thought of using a paint pin for doin it. I might redo the grill at some point but for now I'm not gonna mess with it Thanks cheers mat
  19. Hello all, I finished this up last night. It is wired, bmf, flocked and I used gauze for the headliner. The grill is from push pins ( I got a lil off on my layout...) I frenched a couple of antennas and used push pins, I wanted a tail dragger stance but I should of lowered the front a lil bit more. This was my first attempt at using the sanding fluid stuff ( I cant remember what its called and I'm to lazy to go and look) and using future, I definitely won't go with out it again. As always let me know what you think good or bad. cheers mat
  20. Looks great. I built one of thiese a while back and had a blast with it cheers mat
  21. The color combo is great! cheers mat
  22. just take a bunch of ugly parts put them on randomly ad skulls and spider webs lower and chop the car so it would be impossible to drive add some rust and you have a rat rod cheers mat
  23. I love old show rods. You did a great job, I havent seen a few of those before now I have to keep my eye out. cheers mat
  24. The only time I build 100 percent box stock is when it is a 60's show rod. Any thing else gets atleast a lil something done to it. cheers mat
  25. I do a lot of pinstriping, and starting to get into more painting other than just some lines, when the weather is good I'm working on my 65 f-100 and I like to have a beer or two cheers mat I just read that and it sounds like a bad dating ad....
