  1. Thanks Warren for the information on the hood conversion I’m not going to make this one identical to the pictures just the basic type of hauler with the 3 cars on the truck and 4 on the trailer. Thanks Bill that’s a nice modern hauler. Thanks Jeff and it’s going to have PE deck plates on the upper front deck to. I have been working on the hitch and trailer connection. I’ve added some steel in the hitch to make sure it will hold up with the trailer weight. I’ve also figured out how I’m going to build the upper deck on the truck. My spare parts from the Haul Away trailer are coming in real nicely. Here’s today’s mock up and test fitting.
  2. Jeff your extra little details are really adding up on this one. They look awesome to.
  3. Thanks Bill, there’s lots of different ways to modify this trailer and cabs to increase the number of cars to carry. Thanks Carl. I’ve got a lot of spare time on my hands these days while looking and waiting for my next job. I’ve been working on the lower deck of the truck and started working on the trailer so I can figure out the details for the hitch and the front of the trailer.
  4. Very interesting and cool project Ken!
  5. I’m on a roll now with car transporters and this one is going to be a 7 car hauler using the AMT Autocar A64B truck and the Revell Auto-transporter trailer. There’s some scratch building for the car racks on the truck and modifications for the trailer. I’m going with a low hitch position for the trailer. I’ve added 50 scale inches to the frame so far. I’ve attached some pictures of a Autocar transporter that I’m using as a reference for my build. I’m also painting it yellow similar to the M&G trucks. As always your comments are always welcome and appreciated.
  6. Thanks Ken Yea Johnny I’ve been waiting for someone to notice that lol
  7. Thanks Ken Thanks Don I just couldn’t leave it the way it was. Thanks Lee Thanks Roy, I built the cars over a 10 year period. The GTX and Charger are the only box kits the other ones are resin bodies. Thanks Dominik Thanks David I appreciate it. Thanks Helmut. I’m starting on another Mopar hauler now. Its going to be 7 Mopars from 1970.

  10. Mark your gravel trailer completes your Autocar. Very sharp looking combination and the weathering is awesome.
  11. Nice looking Frightliner and cattle trailer Helmut.
  12. This is the AMT Haul Away trailer with a tandem axle. I used 2 kits to make this a tandem plus I reworked the upper rear deck to be able to support a car and transport in the raised position that now allowed 3 cars in the lower level. I also fixed the lower front section ramps so you can drive a car all the way to the front. The load of cars are all 1967 model year Dodge’s and Plymouth’s.
  13. I’ve finished the tandem Haul Away trailer and have it loaded up with 1967 Mopars. Thanks to everyone’s comments I appreciate them. I will be posting more pictures in Under Glass.
