This is the Revell 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT 8 that I’ve built just like my 1:1 that I bought 12 years ago and still using as my daily driver. I used Scale Finish’s B5 blue and PE kits from Hobby Design and GW Pc2

Thanks Marc, I’ve cut the wheel arches in and sprayed some primer on the box and black on the frame. -
Thanks Dave, I’m going to have to get to the HAMS show early to get all my stuff set up.

Thanks Mike, I painted them gloss black first and then put Uschi Metal Polishing Powder “Steel” on them.

I’ve been able to clear coat and buff the body. I also painted the black trim and have the rear done. Still need to finish the front end and hood. I also need to paint the headliner and install the glass. If everything goes well I should have this one in under glass in a couple days.

Thanks Marc. I’ve been able to get the rear doors cut down today. Here’s what I’ve cut out of the short haul box van. -

Thanks Brian. I spent a lot of time cutting today and have been able to lower the top now. I still have the wheel arches to cut in and cut down the rear doors. -

I’m trying to find someone that has a Detroit 6-71N seems like everyone is sold out of them. -
I’ve found another Dodge LN1000 race car hauler to build. This is the race car hauler that Richard Petty used in the early 70’s. For the build I’m using AITM’s Dodge LN1000 resin cab with the Louisville Short Haul for the frame and box. The rear doors are from the Big Rig kit thanks to JT. The race car is Richard Petty’s 73 Dodge Charger newly released by Salvinor JR Models and I’m planning on scratch building the trailer for it. I’m using MCW Petty blue for the truck and car and have Scenes Unlimited tires on order for the truck. I’m still gathering as much information as I can for the details. Currently trying to figure out what the wheel base needs to be. I’ve started with building the frame and taping the box together to see how it looks. I think the box looks a little bit to long in front of the wheels. The Dodge specs show a max wheel base of 158” for the single axle and I’m currently at 218”. I would appreciate any information on this if anyone has some. Here’s what I have so far.

Thanks Craig, I’m still getting comments on my car that’s 12 years old plus it’s still fun to drive. I’ve finished re-sanding the mold lines out and have a new coat of blue paint on it.

I was able to see it in person last night at our monthly model club meeting and it looks awesome in person. -
Thanks Mike Thanks Carl If you look close to the upper section of fenders you can still see the mold lines. I thought I had them smooth with the primer on but the blue shows them. I’m now in the process of removing them and then repaint. Small set back but it will be worth the effort for me.
