  1. I’ve finished the truck just need to place some decals on it.
  2. Wow! This is going to be one really sharp looking rig when you get it all together. It already looks better than the picture!
  3. Thanks Carl, it’s from Gary Wallace and it went together nicely. More progress on the cab details and have started on the Charger now. Still have to install the windshield wipers, door handles and steps on the passenger side and anything else I think that’s needed. I also fixed the ruff paint on the work bench in the back. Thanks for everyone’s comments I appreciate them.
  4. Gareth your efforts getting your air system in place came out fantastic! Looks awesome the way you have it set up.
  5. Thanks Brian Thanks, check out today’s progress Hakan I now have the stack done and the air filter plumbed up to the engine. I also worked on some of the trim on the cab. I need to paint the air intake Petty blue so I’m getting the Charger ready for the Petty blue so I can spray both at the same time.

  10. Thanks Jeff, I’ve made some more progress painted the white section on the cab and added some work benches in the back. I’ve also received my Detroit 6-71 and started building it. I’m looking for the decals that comes with the Richard Petty Dart. I need the Petty Enterprise logo for the doors.
  11. Really nice progress the frame and engine together with those colors really pop. One thing about models that are able to roll is that they can roll when you don’t want them to. (Like off the shelves).
  12. Nice set up Pat. Looking forward to seeing your work from your new bench.
  13. Graham awesome details on your interior and mirrors. Looking forward to seeing more progress.
  14. Thanks Jason it’s getting closer now. Thanks Hakan I didn’t like how the front window molding looked so I replaced it with some new evergreen. Worked on my cab hinges also.
  15. I was able to finish building the trailer today and sprayed some Petty blue on the cab. I’m looking for some Petty logo’s that go on the doors. They have them in the Ford Petty race car hauler.
  16. Carl it’s MCW 2010 Super Blue. This is what they have listed for Richard Petty. It looks like it’s the right color in the bottle.
  17. Thanks Brian I have a lot of time for my model building for now so I’m making good use of it. Todays progress, I started scratch building the trailer and getting ready for some Petty blue paint.
  18. I guess I did Carl. I’ve been moving back and forth from trucks to cars. Thanks Gator. I built the front bumper and put a PE muffler guard on the stack. Also working on the windows, I like to make a grove on the inside for the glass to get a good fit up. It’s a tip that I saw here a couple of years ago.
  19. Thanks Gareth, yes they are from the AMT (IMC) semi trailer I wish they were not as big
