1968/69 Dodge Dart Resin Front Bench Seat?
1972coronet replied to impcon's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
There's one platform which is sans back seat and console ; that's the 'LO23' platform (which is intended for the Hemi / 4-speed) . The other platform is the GTS' : back seat and console . -
1968/69 Dodge Dart Resin Front Bench Seat?

For the AMT 1971 Duster 340 , though . If it's anything like Hart's interior conversion for the Revell 1968 'LO23' (i.e. , to correct the incorrect GTS' door panels , and the radio-and-climate-control-panel dashboard) , then it's GOT to be good . -
Quite looking forward to the 1965 El Camino (hopefully it'll have the camper and the shell in this release !) and the D-50 Pickup (last time I built one of those was in 1983 ... while watching Swamp Thing on HBO !) . Too bad --- crying shame , actually --- about the tooling for the 1971 Road Runner ... that's one of my faves . 1957 , 1970 , and 1976 Rancheros would be awesome !

1968/69 Dodge Dart Resin Front Bench Seat?
1972coronet replied to impcon's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Certainly would be nice to see a bench seat for the 1968 and 1969 Dart GT/S (different upholstery patterns between those years ) . The 340 GTS came standard with a column-shift automatic ; 383 were all floor shift , regardless (and , again , the automatic was standard ). 1/25 Revell '70 Plymouth HEMI 'Cuda 2'n1

Definitely 1971-1978 B-body doors -- at least the upper-framing -- on that bad boy . And , you're right ; the E-bodies were the predecessor to the 1971-1978 B-bodies , sharing the cowl / firewall - forward with them . Oddly (or not) the E-bods never got the (dreadful) Rubber-Isolated K-member that the '73 & up B-bods did . Instead , they kept the (inferior) biscuit-style engine mounts until their demise in 1974 . Certainly , the superior spool mounts would have sufficed on the 1971-1972 K-member (just like the 1973-1976 A-bodies) , but ... A hardtop phantom would have been cleaner looking for sure . Heck , if the builder wanted to go the sedan route , why not graft a roof from a 1971 ad seq. B-body sedan ? That "humpback" around the Barracuda's backlite area kills it . -

No problem , Frank . I was able to get to the page just in time to purchase the 2nd-of-two items ! Thanks for sharing the info that those elusive W11s were available -- they're my favourite wheel covers ! -

Nice ! I'm considering using them on the AMT 1971 Charger ... ... unless someone should produce a 1970 Swinger 340 or 1971 Demon 340 -

Round 2 October 2017 Product Spotlight

That's a Petty argument ... -
Quite nice ! Reminds me of a stock '71 convertible I built some 14 years ago (when the kit was released) , as I went with the white body / Tor-Red interior / black Billboards combo as well . Say , where'd you get those tyres and wheels ? I'd like a set for the MPC 1984 Corvette I've got on my "To Do" list .
-
OUTSTANDING ! Easily the finest build of that kit I've seen since its release (late 1986 , if I remember) . Scale Auto Enthusiast reviewed the Camaro and its Firebird twin in some late-1986 issue (maybe even early 1987) , and they mentioned the incorrect items (of which you've corrected so nicely !) . I could swear that these came with Gatorback VR50's --- a really "WOW" tyre upon its c.1984 release --- but your version appears to be outfitted with the earlier Camaro tyres (?) . Another excellent build , sir !

( translated , how-ever poorly , from an online translation "app" .)

Thanks for sharing your observations and research with us , Bill ! I'm pretty certain that the air cleaner assembly for the 440 Six Pack in the ( "1:1" ) 1970 Charger was unique to that model --- perhaps just the base or the lid ? Never-the-less , it'd be nice to see what kit's air cleaner would work . The other (to me) annoying part of the c.1990 (ad seq.) Revell 426 Hemi is that (stupid) 4-paddle fan ! Absolutely incorrect for 1966 - 1971 Hemi , regardless of model / axle package / other options .
-
Excellent ! Beautiful work , JC . How about a Gran Coupe instead of the ( uber-common ) 'Cuda model ? The Monogram kit already has the "SR" Leather Seats , so ...
-
Looks great , JC ! Very nice work . There's a lot of real estate between the headlamps on that Monogram '71 Hemi'Cuda ; you snugged 'em up nicely .

Johnny Thunders ( New York Dolls , Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers , solo ) was a huge fan of the Rolling Stones --- and Keith Richards in particular . Here's Thunders' version of Wild Horses from I don't know when : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-a00Qd3ZJw And here's Thunders' killer version of Pipeline ( live version of the version from So Alone ) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gODUj0aVO04 -
Other than the way the distributor mounts on the Revell 383 from the 1969-come-1968 Darts , those engines are perfect . Naturally , the left ( driver-side ) exhaust manifold is A-body-specific ( as in the "1:1" version ) ; then there's the change in rocker covers ( colloq. , "valve covers" ) between 1969 and 1970 ( vis-a-vis the C.A.P. of 1970 & later ) . The build-up article in Scale Auto from a few years back of the then-new Revell 1970 Hemi'Cuda was excellent ; however , I would be remiss if I didn't mention the 440 / T-Flite swap by the builder / author of the article : - A/C with Dana 60 ( okay , perhaps it was a dealer add-on ) - "440 Magnum" air cleaner "pie tin" (decal) versus the correct "440 Super Commando" In spite of that , worse 'faux pas' have happened , mostly manufacturer oversights : - 1966 & earlier brake master cylinders on 1967 & newer models - Manual trans with automatic pedals and / or shifter ( e.g. , the MPC A-body annuals , all years ) - Aftermarket air cleaners ( e.g. , the Monogram 1970 SS-454 Chevelle with Cowl Induction ; the 1971 "Satellite" with Edelbrock intake , and open-element air cleaner ) - Hemi / 4-speed / 8 3/4 combo ( Monogram 1971 Hemi'Cuda , every iteration ; Revell 1967 GTX / Coronet / Charger ) Regardless of these picky annoyances -- esp the post facto examples -- I love each and every one of those kits !

Changed this inquiry into a poll . Feel free to add your choice(s) to the list ( example : I'd like to see a 1971 GMC Sprint SP-1 or How about a Toyota Stout ! ) . Have fun !
-
FANTASTIC work , Andy ! WOW !! I agree with the sentiment of the others ; this is the finest example of this truck I've seen ! Tamiya's Light Gun Metal works so well , even as an amphiviate for OEM colours ( think : MPC's 1975 Dart Sport ... which is the colour I painted mine ! ). That engine is splendid ! Is that kit's engine supposed to represent an FE ( 360 / 390 ) or the 385-Series ( 429 / 460 ) ?

CapSat 6 - I wonder how well (or not) the 440 Mag / TorqueFlite from the AMT 1971 Charger R/T would fit in-place of the Revell Hemi / 4-speed ? Granted , one would end up with an incorrect combination of air conditioning / Dana 60 -- should one decide to build the 440 "box stock" , that is . Similarly , the aforementioned 383 / 440 (also T-Flite equipped) from the Revell 1968-1969 Dart "could" work , which will also give the proper Super Track Pak ( or is it Super Performance Axle Package with the T-Flite ? ) .
