  1. It would appear that the aforementioned DMold Modelworks 1969 Mustang fascia correction casting is 'out-of-stock' ; here's the link to it :
  2. Those Holley 2300s look incredible ! Heck , all of his atomisers look magnificent ! Joseph chooses some unique subjects to replicate --- who else would think to offer 1/25 scale freakin' 1969-1970 Monaco / Polara 15" wheel covers ??? I've been in contact with the Chief regarding the 1971-only , Plymouth-only , 14" "W11" wheel covers ; the 1970-1971 Dodge "W11" wheel covers were another proposal .
  3. What parts did you buy ? He has so many killer MoPar pieces !
  4. Missed this one during its last go-'round ---- I'll have to czech it out this time !
  5. My neighbour's cats ( adopted during the summer ) who see me off to work every morning ( 0600 HRS ) and when I get home ( 1700 HRS ) . Their names are "Butterscotch" (Red Tabby , male) and "Bandit" (black / white , female)
  6. Thanks so much for rescuing Princess Leia and her little boy Kirk ! Leia's expression is one of adoration and reverence --- she's glad to be in a loving home . Wonderful feline family , Tulio
  7. To add to the fray about the Family Truckster ; it was "sold" through a Dodge dealership ! In the movie , the Truckster is shown on the lot of Glendale Dodge (the same dealer where Bill Hickman bought the two 1968 Chargers used in Bullitt ) . So , in spite of the Truckster being a Ford , it bore a strong resemblance to the Dodge / Plymouth M-bodies of the same era .
  8. My "14 year old kitten" walks around taking and crying . He picks-up his toys in his mouth like a mum would pick-up her kittens : talking to them , cleaning them , and hiding them . He's done this since we adopted him some 14 years ago (when he was 8 months old) , and he has no signs of "retiring" from his kitten-type antics .
  9. I'm constantly surprised that some of the kids I work with ( "kids" , because I'm 20+ years their senior ) have more-than-a-passing-interest about the vehicles which we -- us "Auld" Timers -- grew up around . I enjoy bustin' the chops of the twenty-somethings and their passion about Honda , Nissan , etc. ------ but , they know that I'm just shaking-up their sensibilities ; good , old fashioned ribbing . You certainly have a point ; and , to build-upon that point : the vehicles which the young(er) generations grew up with are generic , unstyllish , bland "Point-A -to- Point-B tools" . I can understand their apathy when it comes to vehicles . I mean , how can one compare the Brass Era , the Chrome Era , the classic Hot Rods , traditional Lowriders , Muscle Cars , and even the "lowly" daily drivers of yesteryear to the uninspired grist that's been around since the 80's ? Thankfully , there are enough young(er) gear heads who embrace the vehicles of the bygone eras . If only they'd put their phones down and stop playing Intellivision (or what-ever the newest "gaming system" is around) , then they could come to fully-appreciate the thunderous sounds of unfettered exhaust .
  10. Once someone has a feline in their life , the desire is to always have at least one companion around . For the last 32 years , we've had at least one kitty around . There was a brief time where we didn't have one -- after being subjected to the heart-wrenching pain of losing a companion to illness-then-death -- but , there were some interim strays , and kitties whom belonged to neighbours . The two which are currently family members , are shelter rescues . Molly Anne is 15 years ; got her when she was 6 months . Oliver Sabastian is 14 years ; got him when he was 8 months . Now for a friendly reminder to all :
  11. I recognise your gorgeous GMC 702 cube "Twin-Six" as well ! Another work of art !
  12. I thought that I'd seen a scale version of the 455 Olds Hemi ! Are you planning to install that bad boy into a Cutlass ? The heat crossovers seem to indicate that the engine was darned close to production (cold-start emissions from c.1971) ...
  13. Oliver , my half-British Shorthair / half-"Domestic" Shorthair , is a 14 year old kitten ! He has this compulsion to get-into everything , including my hobby supplies . Other than the occasional "swatting" of parts of the table . he doesn't get into too much trouble . Molly Anne , my "Calico Cougar" , has always been mature . She has never gotten into my stuff . Here's Oliver and Molly ; Oliver by himself , next image
  14. GMC's "big block" V6 series have the plugs and wires on the intake-side :
  15. Oldsmobile 455 Hemi , exp
  16. Just some self-deprecating humour is all . To quote Richard Hell (poet , musician) : " I was saying 'Let me out of here !' before I was even born ; it's such a gamble when you get a face ... When I dine it's for the wall that I set-a-place ... I belong to the Blank Generation ..." The prosaic truth is , I'm a hand-on type --- creativity-wise . I'm a visual artist . I'm lazy , too .
  17. Very well then . At 47 years of age , quite a bit of that photoshop / MS Paint / punch-card / tele-fax stuff is foreign to me .
  18. The 1966 Fairlane is a new-er kit (c.1991) , and is quite nice . It builds up as either a "GT" or "GT-A" ; the latter being a C6-auto-equipped version . Both the Toploader 4-speed and C6 are included . I'm going to have to grab a couple of those reissues !
  19. FWIW : I've built a couple of the 1972 version (for "whatever" reason(s) , the 1971 is the "missing man" in the formation ...) and I found them to be quite nice . Aside from the obvious cosmetic changes from 1970-1971-1972 , the kit is the same . (sidebar : the 1972 kit has the LS-6 induction in addition to the correct LS-3 [ LS-4 ? Whatever the 396 / 402 designation was ] induction setup . both of the '72's I built were built as "phantom" LS-6s) . Other than some patience and massaging of the 45+ years old tooling / casting , either version builds up nicely. The only addition I made to my builds was a brake master cylinder ( one of them got the booster / brake master from the parts bin) .
  20. WOW !! That is definitely one of the nicest builds of this kit I've seen ---- that turquoise is outstanding !!! Buick's A-bodies were always the nicest ; you've done this one right .
  21. Junkman , et al. : what program are you employing to create those phantom box art images ?
  22. The V.I.N.s are as follows : 1970 : LM23H0R 1971 : LL23H1R 1972 : LL23H2R All 1970 Swinger 340s were built in Windsor , Ontario , regardless of their destination ( e.g. , USA , Canada , Export ) . That was the only year for the Rallye Gauges ( round speedometre ; round provision for fuel level / ammetre / engine temperature/ ... ) . The 1971 and 1972 models were also built only in Windsor ( other '71 and '72 models were built in Los Angeles [1971] and Hamtramck [1971-1976] , in addition to the Duster and Demon / Dart Sport ) . These were based upon the el-strippo "Special" trim model ( "LL" ) . It would appear to me that the car in the photo you've provided is of 1970 vintage ( "Swinger" emblems on the quarter panels ) , though it could very well be a 1971 (definitely not a '72) . Check its V.I.N. . No need for the last 6-digits ; only the first 7 will be needed to ascertain its heritage .
  23. Such is the fate of many organisations . I , too , was surprised to see that Crosstown was still in business !
  24. That's the one ! That c.1984 Supra from MPC . I had one when they were new ( via the Golden Wheels programme ) , and I was surprised at its quality . I must state that I'm surprised that Round2 hasn't already reissued this kit .
