  1. And a few more. A green 65 Galaxie 427 R Code, and a 66 Galaxie drag car with a stroked out big block. The 66 rear resin wheels are warped from sitting so long.
  2. Several stalled builds just waiting for some attention. This one, I’d really like to get back to. It’s been a few years since I even touched it. Converting a Galaxie to a Ford 300 is a bit challenging for me. Still have some putty and filling to do on the small scratches where the trim was removed. Also looking for a better bench seat. Or I’ll skip the tub altogether and go with the resin seats in the next pic. Dont laugh at the posts, they are not staying that way.
  3. No problem, And thank you for the positive reply.
  4. Actually, I think they are both incorrect? The passenger side is as per the instructions, and I wanted the hole to be in the rear on the drivers side. This kinda messes things up a bit. I had pluming all figured out for the way they are now. I made a black breather for the rear of the passenger side cover that connects to the center carb.
  5. Thanks everyone. I never built a super bird. You might have me confused with another member.
  6. Fantastic looking Mopar. Great color choice.
  7. Been playing around with another 1:24 Monogram Kit. I wanted to use up the rest of my Fireball parts. So it will have the six pack carbs, and rallye wheels, and tires. Painted it MM sublime green and Testors Extreme clear. Got it all polished up today. I want to add some shocks and some heater hoses, etc. since this kit lacks a few details. Plan on foiling, and adding the black stripes tomorrow, and possibly final assembly.
  8. Fine looking Fairlane. One of my favorite cars.
  9. Incorporating air craft ideas with the color is looking great.
  10. Yep. I’ve polished a few solid color bodies using Novus #2, then #1. A flannel cloth works best. Some of the bodies that are cast in a metallic color, ( some monogram kits) usually need to be repainted because of lines in the metallic that no amount of polishing will fix.
  11. I just install the lenses backwards, and detail the post with a small aluminum tube rod ring piece, and a little chrome and white paint to the center.
  12. Looking super nice. Coming together beautifully. The detail work you preformed is perfect. I gotta dig my 67 out. It’s a Sox & Martin but I’ll most likely build it as a street car.
  13. Good point Steve... I’ll keep that in mind when I put stuff up for sale. My max bid was $200, and it sold for $202. It might seem that I lost it by only two dollars, but, the winning bidder could have had $300 on it for all I know. I said I wouldn’t go a penny over what I bid, and stuck to it. I did finally get a real nice 62 Plymouth 300 though.
  14. Yea, those decals are pretty huge. Eventually I’ll build one of mine into the actual race car. I’ve been avoiding it because of those decals. Looks pretty good to me though. I think you did a good job with them. A tiny dab of white paint on the rear might do the trick.
  15. Weren’t some of them silver? Or were they all gold?
  16. Looking fantastic after the little set back.
  17. Thanks.. those are the kit supplied “street” version wheels. I just added some panel line accent to darken them a bit.
  18. Thanks. Mine are Fireball Modelworks, that I painted with Vallejo paints.
  19. Yea, there is just something about those 440s. I’ve recently built a few Mopars, a GTX, and a couple of A12s. Very cool engines.
  20. Pretty cool rig. I’m sure it made the new owner very happy.
  21. Lol... that’s why I didn’t say WHAT I actually bid.. I see that the price jumped. Good luck, I hope you win. That’s a beauty of a kit. Eventually I’ll get one some day.
  22. Haha. All you guys are old. MY daughter, Alicia only turns 30 tomorrow. Lol. I don’t see her getting married anytime soon. Her and her guy have been together a while, and I guess if it works for them, that’s all that counts.
  23. Can you share a pic of the model you sold?
  24. Yea, I was looking at some of his items. I like the 60 Chevy nomad wagon, but I don’t want another resin car.
  25. Well.... at least I won the 62 Chrysler I was after, for $42. All is not bad. This was another car I really wanted to build.
