  1. Any particular cars you have in mind? Do you have any decals?
  2. What are your plans for them? Just a street car, or a S/S build? Or just stock with extra detail?
  3. Thanks. I have more. That box top car has been sitting for over a year now... lol
  4. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F143480103125 How about this one. I’m thinking his opening bid is probably $350 over what this kit is actually worth. I’ve seen these go for $150 or less.
  5. A few pics of the Galaxies with the Starliner chassis.
  6. It seems I was posting as you were posting.
  7. Scott, using the Lindberg chassis is a good way to go. I’ve used them on my builds. One thing is though, the 63 wheelbase is a bit shorter than the Lindberg chassis. I had to do a bit of rear wheel cutting, and adding small pieces of sheet styrene, as well as moving the rear leaf springs up a little. These two mods will ensure the wheels will be centered in the wheel well opening properly. The front wheels lined up without any problem.
  8. I literally have a dozen Starliner cars sitting around with the chassis and engines robbed out of them.
  9. I would recommend using the AMT 60 Starliner for a donor. I’ve built many galaxies using this donor. The chassis fits in with minimal modifications, and the highly detailed engine can become a 427 since the FE engines look the same externally. Also, you can use decent width tires also. I could post some pics up of my 62,63,64 Galaxies if you’d like.
  10. I don’t know what happened there. I’ve been noticing a lot of weird glitches on here lately. Thanks! The Galaxie box has a WIP of the Hubert Platt car, because it was built out of parts from the stash, and not out of a box. So I don’t have the original box for the Bolt. Im getting the burgundy body ready while I’m waiting for Slixx to release the Butch Leal decals. I put all the other builds on hold and really kept with the TBolts. I plan on doing the Jake King Atwater car also.
  11. That Coronet sold for $600, with 27 bids on it. So there was more than one person willing to fork over the cash. Some kits seem to go for ridiculous amounts, while others go for a few bucks. I look at the price guide, and I see kits that are valued at a higher price sell for a surprising lower amount, and some kits that are valued at $15, sell for $50? I guess it all depends on how much someone is willing to pay, dictates the real value.
  12. My model stash and supplies all kept in the spare upstairs room. All of the Monster and beverage cartons contain started builds.
  13. Very cool build of The S***Box of Doom.
  14. I followed your build on the workbench. I knew it was going to come out looking superb. Congrats on your Chevelle.
  15. Man, this is one super nice build. Fantastic job on a year you don’t see often. Your under hood details, and wiring look perfect, as does the tach. I wouldn’t let that trunk thing bother you... this thing turned out great. I definitely got to get my hands on a set of those wheels from that P/S car!
  16. Whoever casted that resin kit, looks like they did a quality job. Looking at the floor pan, it looks like a MCW casting. The few 62 cars I’ve built, I’ve always had problems with the firewall being way to wide, and needing to remove material from each side of it in order to get it to fit into the body right. The last one I built was having a problem with the rear seat and package tray also. What rear seat are you using? Did a rear seat come with that kit?
  17. Watched it when it first came out. I was really looking forward to seeing it since Bufalino was running stuff from nearby Pittston Pa. I remember seeing his name in the local papers all the time. The movie didn’t seem like it was 3 1/2 hours long though. Most likely because it was pretty interesting.
  18. I really like my Excel mag visor. Lightweight, easily adjustable.
  19. Thank you everyone for the replies. It is much appreciated.
  20. Thanks for the pics Tim, and also Steve. Ive never built a AWB as of yet. But from what I can tell, this kit looks fantastic. I especially like the under car shot. Cant wait until this is released.
  21. A quick build to add to my AMT 62 S/S Bel Air collection.
  22. Now this is COOL! Awesome set up.
  23. You did a fantastic job on this build. Looks just like the trucks we used to see traveling the interstates years ago.
