  1. Now thats nice. R & R resin body ? Got 1 myself, planned as a black n white. Also plan on using a 383 from an MPC Barracuda.
  2. Fantastic ! Now when you said you was building a Monaco, nobody said 2 door !!!
  3. Well ya got a door jim & thats a start or is that all thats left of the Taxi ?? Jeez, knew those 70's Ford rusted but . . . . . .
  4. Not in a diarama, but this pair was built by a guy off the UK Mustang forum, Steve. The bodyshop that did work on my 57 Chevy had 1 of the Plymouths in that was used in the movie. The guy paid a LOT of $$$$'s for it & it was as rotten as a pear. Major rot, & serious bodges, ie roof held on with bondo & chicken wire, every panel had serious damage. Think they hoped it was gonna fix itself at night !
  5. Love that Checker, shame it wasnt made in 1;25th.
  6. I picked up a Lindberg Crown Vic patrol car & was going to build it as a worn NYC Yellow Cab. Looked for a few pics for inspiration & cant find any. Anybody else built Cabs ? Show ya finished pics. Here's my old Monaco, as a start.
  7. Thanks for the info Terry, I'll look out for a cheap Blazer. Any other pointers towards light bars ? I've got the Revell Fire Chief Caprice & Tony Foti Camaro, but they seem too modern to use on a late 70's car.
  8. Very nice Rob. Like the figures too, where are they from ?
  9. Terry, where did the light bars come from ? Not the standard Rosco / Goon issue. I've got 6 Monaco's to build & want to vary the lightbars, wheels, ect
  10. Bill, planning on a more accurate tv show truck. After reading all the threads that say the Cooters kit is nothing like what was used, I wondered what everybody used instead. I'll look out for a Midnite Cowboy for a start. Anybody got one they want to part with ?
  11. Built in 2 days ??? Dont you sleep at night ? Great build, even better in such a short time.
  12. Thats looking good already Brett. I've also got a Cop Out that wont be built as 'Cop Out'. Looking forward to your progress.
  13. I think Tye's original question has got a bit lost in all this. Was the roof line restored in the latest issue General Lee ? If so, it will build an 'ok' General but as everybodys said, if you want a better GL, get a Revell kit ect. Whatever kit you get Tye, keep us posted on it.
  14. Where can I get round headlights for the Rosco Dodge Monaco ? Plymouth Fury ? I've seen them on some DOH builds, along with a 1 piece grill.
  15. I did think about that kit, but dont know much about it. Not many reviews ect on here. Also looked at Midnite Cowboys on ebay
  16. Everybody I have traded with, have been great. Thank you all. Simple, treat others how you want to be treated yourself.
  17. Thats a good DOH link, thanks. Without hijacking the thread, anybody make round headlights for the patrol cars ?
  18. I know the DOH Cooters tow truck is an inaccurate, over priced & hard to find kit. So whats the best kit / kits to start with, for a better truck ? If possible a more readily available kit ? Any pics of yours builds would be good too.
  19. Hi Tye The MPC kit is dated & the roof is inaccurate for a General (tho not sure if the latest issue has the correct rear roof ?). Although they can look ok, your better off starting with the Revell 69 Charger & getting aftermarket decals & wheels. I built an MPC General about 20 years ago, but got a Revell kit for a new General, waiting to be started.
  20. 14 WOW ! Its a shame that Revell AG is not Euro / Brit cars instead of some reboxed yanks ! I'd love to see some Brit kits tooled, tho some BL are better than others ! SD1, Stags, Dolly & P 5's = Yeas please ! But NO Maxi's lol
  21. Depends on the kits value. I've had a few regular kits in from the US without problem. I cant remember at what value they will apply customs & vat ect (try & find blurb I had). Parcelfarce are just like Dick Turpin but without the mask
  22. Lol, think your right. Wish somebody would make some good Brit stuff, even in resin would be good. I had a few mk1 Grannys, 3.0 coupe, 3.0 GL Saloon & 3.0 S Saloon. Planned a 5.0 for the coupe but sold it & bought the 3.0 S. Still regret selling the Signal yellow 3.0 S now, but had to go so I could buy my 57 Chevy Couple of resin mk1 Escorts are out there, was a mk2 RS2000 but mould broke so no longer being made, mk2 Zodiac ect
  23. Be good if Revell ect took note of these wish lists. 1) 74 Dodge Monaco 2) 57 Chevy Nomad (based on sedan tooling) 3) Ford Granada mk1 (UK car) 4) Modern race car hauler (updated Ford LN8000) 5) 68 Plymouth Satalite 4 door
  24. Dave, thats a cool build. I'd be glad to see anymore vehicles you have built, from any of the movies. Kevin, reading the info on MMM (I've been looking on there for years) many of the Interceptor kits where very hit & miss until the Aoshima plastic kit came out.
