Revell Ed Roth 57 Bel Air - Suddenly It's 1963!
57peppershaker replied to Karl LaFong's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Wonder if the truck decals would work on a Foose pickup ? -
Mailman arrived yesterday with a Greenlight Silverado dually & gooseneck livestock trailer in 1:64. Both exvlusive issues but I want to modify the deep ocean blue dually, so paired gooseneck with a Silverado flat bed.

Thanks guys. The 1:25 57's eventually lead to the 1:1 57 that ended up looking like a 1:25 kit lol. Took 6 years to build it.

Yep, very cool 57. Although dissapointed that it doesnt come with a hood and has bel air long spears, not the 210 short versions. Batterys in the trunk along with a Cragar spare. Also shame its not available in Orange with a hood n not blown.....

I plunked down my hard earned cash on an ACME 1/18 57 Chevy sedan from Hollywood Knights. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1957-CHEVROLET-210-YELLOW-034-THE-HOLLYWOOD-KNIGHTS-034-MOVIE-1-18-MODEL-ACME-A1807006-/133313189349?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=hx4uW9rV2lb6nVkFQnMZaJFKTx4%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc

I grabbed one too. Will have to change the hood scoop to make it look more like the 1;1 Hammer car. Sure wish I could afford the 1;18 scale GMP version.

The 'other' Graffiti cars ?
57peppershaker replied to 57peppershaker's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I sure wish they would reissue them all Greg. I've now got them all except Debbie and like you looked for a very long time. The Tamiya Campus Friends is a good source for Steve & Laurie type figures and Toads Vespa. I'm looking for these too. -
Removing wheels from metal axles ?
57peppershaker replied to 57peppershaker's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Good idea to try. The metal axles are through a plastic suspension on a Greenlight 1;64 Dually. I might try to dremel cut through and pull them out. I can then glue the replacements back in. -
And a lowered Dually with running boards removed. This is the 1 I busted a rear wheel on trying to remove from the axle. Due to swop wheels to black versions (if can get off another dually) and remove all tampos

Thats a very cool little diorama. I had trouble finding a suitable 57 Chevy that looks in scale on a trailer, GL dont do a 57 yet. This is a Racing Champions 57 with a GL Dually & Johnny Lightning trailer

I built this cabinet for mine last year. The Greenlights etc are gradually replacing the cheap Hot Wheels. Clear perspex over the front keeps dust out.

I keep thinking about using a ramp truck bed with the Silverado dually. They are fairly easy to find online over here but wish we could get them off the shelf in stores.

Revell Tri Chevy kitbash ?
57peppershaker replied to 57peppershaker's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
No Roger, back then the MPC flip front 57 was the only sedan kit available. The AMT is a hardtop coupe, as is the Monogram and original opening everything Revell kit. I sure wish Revell would issue 55 sedan and 57 Nomad or wagon as good as the 56 / 57 sedans. -
Revell Tri Chevy kitbash ?
57peppershaker replied to 57peppershaker's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Just found the original AMT / MPC article & im mistaken as it was an AMT Coupe with a MPC flip front roof. From Car Modeler jan 1991. I can scan & post if anybody want it but is only text and the completed model. -
Tim, what a fantastic article. Great reading and adding the trailer make it even better. Ralph, huge thanks for sharing both parts. I just need to find a C-600 now. Not being able to find instructions for the Box truck version, can it also be built as a flatbed or is the box floor not detailed enough ?

Thats a fantastic looking Dodge wagon from the coupe.

Anybody else into Greenlights 1;64 diecasts ? I have a several 2018 Silverado crew cabs & duallys, must have been lowered and simple wheel swops. Although 1 is planned to be altered into a dually car hauler. I'm really struggling to get the dually wheels off the axles without damaging them. Already busted 1 rear I've tried hot water and putting them in the freezer over night but those little suckers are stuck good n hard. Any other suggestions ? Will post some pics later.

Revell Tri Chevy kitbash ?
57peppershaker replied to 57peppershaker's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
On the 1;1 sedans the centre of the car is almost the same. Front are rear glass are different & yes the front and rear of the car. I read an article many many years back about using the amt 55 roof on the amt 57 coupe to produce a 150 Black Widow, this lead to the old resin kit. Remembering this, lead me to ask my original question. -
Hi Guys Just wondering if anybody had kit bashed a Revell 56 / 57 Chevy sedan with a (new tool) Revell 55 Chevy coupe to make a 55 sedan ? I know it wouldnt be a quick build but the Revell Tri's are far better then the AMT 55 sedan.
