Thanks Bill. The Maisto is more like 1;27 so small compared to other crew cabs. Im interested in getting a Getty Ram but not if its the same model. Shipping and import dutys dont make it cheap. -
I wish we had that much choice available instore here in the UK. Other than Hot Wheels pickins are pretty slim. And the prices you guys are paying ! Oh I need to get on a plane again real soon with 2 empty suitcases

Thats very sharp. And a lot to foil on a 57 Chevy. I have a few of these to build this year.

I sure wish they had of released the 58 as a diecast Dave. I know its avail in 1;18 but they are too big for my display cabinets. Is that your build ? -

Thanks Steve, great info and just what I needed. Just picked up 58 & 49 kits. I had the diecast T-Bird but sold it on. Forgot about the 61 Ford cop car. -

I had the T-Bird but wished I had more than a model of Buddah lol. I'm thinking more of the main character cars, not a car in background for 3 seconds. -
Hi Guys I have the Revell diecast American Graffiti 55 & 32 in 1;25 scale. And slowly finding the figures of Toad, Debbie & Wolfman Jack. Was thinking about the other cars and what kits would be best to use as a base ? Steve's Impala - AMT or Revell 58 ? Curts 2CV - Could only find a Tamiya kit ? The Pharaoh's Mercury - AMT ? Guess would need to chop the roof or anybody offer a better kit ? Laurie's Edsel - AMT ? Toads Vespa - Could only find a Tamiya kit in the Campus friends set ? Anything else I'm missing ??

Well my 'I'm not buying anymore' resolution didnt last long lol. I blame a Mr Snake for tempting me towards a Jada Charger Daytona after seeing his build. Ideally I wanted the darker orange version version (on US ebay but our Post Office import charges are run by Dick Turpin !) then the same version Snake has came up on UK ebay so I plunked down my money. I plan changing the wheels to Jada ARE style 5 spokes originally found on the Fast & Hilarious primered Chevelle and swopping seats to modern Recaro style for now. Also picked up an Atlas Yamaha V-Max motorbike in 1;25 scale And lastly, another one thats been on my wish list for a very long time. Toad will soon be joining Falfa, Milner and Mr Wolfman Jack outside Peppershakers Diner. Theres a seat waiting for Debbie.

This arrived this week, one of my wants for a very long time. Milner and his 32 also arrived recently.

What’s the best 56 Chevy kit???
57peppershaker replied to 2zwudz's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Yup, what Snake said. Avoid the old original Revell with opening doors -
Just bit the (expensive) bullet and got a Wolfman after a very long time. Just need Debbie & Toad now. Jeez, I wish they would re-issue these figures.
-
I guess the interior is stock looking rather than bucket seats out the box Snake ?

Thats a very nice 57, you nailed it. Interior with rear shelf speakers look great too.
