At least they didnt use this box art again. The 5 spokes are not included ! I used to have a 96 Caprice 9c1 clone, SS's are real rare here in the UK. I found the correct 96 mirrors on a Caprice die cast, that I sold (& wished I hadnt). Be real good if somebody cast them in resin.

Looks real nice George. I have a couple to complete too

Now that looks real sweet DC. Did you sand / shape the kit hard top ?

Anybody else just bought a Foose Cady for parts ?
57peppershaker replied to 57peppershaker's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I was kinda hoping that was the case with the Foose kit Bill. I know about 1:1 AM frames, just cant afford them lol. Once the kit arrives, I want to try & use the chassis under a 57 Chevy -
SOME CURRENT ROUND 2 INFO TODAY...
57peppershaker replied to AC Norton's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
The snapper is a pretty good kit. I think a move to TT2 wheels ect (looking at boxart, which is quite appealing) could be a good move. I have the GL snap issue and would buy more as snappers work for me at the mo. -

Guess the chargeller is the old GL ? Real nice box art though. Cool Monaco with a nice addition. Wonder if the Batmobile is due with a figure too ? I'd plunk down the cash for a 69 & Goon car -
Approx 1/25 rig size ?
57peppershaker replied to 57peppershaker's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hi Lucus Thanks, thats just what I needed. Ive now cut the timber for 2 cases. -
I plunked down the cash for a Foose Cady today. The body style isnt really my thing but the 502 is destined for a 57 Chevy. Just wondering if the chassis ect is a simple fit on something else or what you other guys are doing if parting one out ? I may use the body ect as a kerbside but really not sure until it arrives in the post.

Real sorry to hear your sad news Johnny. Your finished 57 looks real nice and helped you at a time in need. Im pretty sure that Isaac was watching from afar as you put the finishing touches to it.

I got a big bunch of cut MDF timber from work, so am planning to make a couple of wall mount display cabinets. I mainly build 1/25 cars but have a couple of unbuilt Revell trucks (Pete 359 & Kenworth W900) along with AMT tanker & box trailers. Whats an approx height & length of a completed combo ? The cabinet size is approx 41" wide x 28" tall. Would this be long enough ? Approx 5.5" between shelves but can alter.

Another ebay bargain arrived today, a Maisto 80s Caprice. Maybe a bit too boxy and the big wheels dont help, but Im not aware of this being tooled in plastic ? The wheels are going on a late Maisto Camaro but avery quick mockup on black steels & raised off the floor and its looking better. Again a colour change may disguise it ?

Great build of a very very rare 1:1 car. Hat off to you.

Thats real sweet. Love the mexican blankets and the leather seats, never seen that done before. What are the wheels & tyres from ? Ive had one of these Caddys that I got in a bunch of stuff years back & never really gave it a look. Your build has definatly inspired me.

Thats my point Rob, its a funky kit but was wondering if a change of X or Y part woulda improved it. Most of the diecast I have are quick detail builds rather than a full plastic build. Maybe hacking the front off the chassis & replacing with X part will transform it from funky to an ok type model ?

After the quotes / pics I'm now watching the movie again. I wish I had the skill /patience / eyesight to build such a detailed & weathered 58.

SOME CURRENT ROUND 2 INFO TODAY...
57peppershaker replied to AC Norton's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Might not have what you want but at least Round 2 are still trading. The sales of blah blah do keep our kinda stuff afloat or at least just above the water. I wonder if the guys over on the sci fi forums (guess they are out there ?) are glad to get the reissues ? Cars, airplanes or spaceships all count as $$'s in the accounts dept. I work for a building / painting contractors here in the UK and things are REAL tough here at the moment, guess as tough in model kit industry ? I'd rather see reissues than no issues. -
I tried it with mixed results. It removed the tampo from a couple cars fine. A Tahoe had a signature on a 'painted' window and it took both off ! Fortuntly I tried on the other side to what I display. Also found out its not good on plastic.....

What a fantastic store. Look forward to seeing a full parking lot

They came as metal kits and built ups in various colours. Front looks too clunky but hides it better in black.

The Revell 57 Chevy snap is such a great kit once details are added. Ive got a bunch in my stash. Never seen 1 converted into an El Morocco though. Fantastic build. Can you post more pics ?
