haha, he might trade 80% of is for a small late model nissan truck...lols that can give you an idea of how much he wants. depending on what he means by "late model" it's anywhere between 2-5 grand.

it's a good idea for a booth. nice job on the chroming, keep it coming man.

Has anyone ever tried Alsa Killer Chrome?
LAone replied to GMP440's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
i have been wondering if anyone has used this. i've wanted to buy it before, but being that it's a one time use, i hold back. it would be good if you had a pile of parts ready to be chromed then maybe it would be a good buy. -
although i have mixed feeling on the body mods, i still dig the LS swap. its a nice and clean build

dave, any tips you can give me on that kit would be great. even though i take a whole lot of time on test fitting, it would be great to know where the other troubled spots are. erik, yeah not 1200 yen...but got it at a great price either way. i have only seen one other on evilbay. that slipped away at a hefty 140 bucks when the bid ended. it's full detail, engine, opening doors and trunk. it's meant to be motorized, so some chassis details are lost, but not too many. nothing like doyusa kits. ill take more pics later on and put them in the review section. i also have a 1970 celica and a 1979 celica in 1/20 scale. both nice kits as well. mike, i love old school j-tin. if i had a real corona wagon, i would never let it go.

well i have no idea on how they can squeeze out 300hp from it, but if a tesla roadster can pump out 288hp and 295lbs/trq from a generator on battery steroids, then i dont see why they couldn't do it to a hybrid.

Help bidding on ebay
LAone replied to Hypermung's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
haha darin, that IS a good one. i just wanted to see if that guy would actually show me where it says that. the way i see it, is why would he care what i did with the item i already paid for and have in my hands?? he got my money and he got his feedback(postive i assume) so what if i decide to send it over seas?? i have helped several of members on the SPC forum, it's UK based forum. i buy kits from ebay sellers that wont ship internationally or to certain countries and send it to them. i have been doing it for about 2 years now. one of the guys i help the most is from south africa. heck, those same guys even have helped me get some kits i wanted or have traded stuff for helping them out. sorry to clutter it up. -
oh man, im so looking forward to this. by any chance, did you snatch that ke corolla on ebay??
-
got some great details erik. i dig the curb feelers. been thinking of slapping some on my 81 corolla wagon..

that is amazing. theres a guy on the automotive forums that built a 1/8 scale porsche 908/03. the only difference is that he made the body from fiberglass.

wheels and tires for a porsche carrera
LAone replied to h3ae86's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
hey bud, if you want some 17" work miester S1 wheels like on that RWB porsche, hobby design has them. but if you want the rears to be that wide, you'll have to mod them yourself. as for the tires, they also make tires. or you can use slicks from a tamiya kit. best of luck. -
wow, great way to do the conversion. coming along really good.
