  1. Local club had a little swap meet Sunday morning, swung through on the way home from work.
  2. LHS is priced at $29.50 for all of the above. That's a $1.50 more than stuff that came in back towards the Winter, but is still less than pretty much everything else coming in other than the 2022 Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ Tamiya kits which are $29 even...
  3. I guess I'll stick this here since no Future Revell thread manages to survive around here. But today my LHS received into the joint - '67 Corvette Coupe '70 Buick GSX '37 Ford P/U '66 Malibu Street Machine '69 Camaro SS396
  4. Seems like you'd REALLY have to want a Mustang and not be willing to wait. You're in for a body, aftermarket decals and Salvinos just upped their store (and retail MSRP) price to $44.95 last week. Sounds like an easy $100 to not wait what would be a few months into early 2023 for the kits.
  5. Kinda sorta, but not really. Notice the price is 17,380¥ which is roughly $165.00US. This one of those already "pro built" models that Tamiya sells. They're doing this, a Maroon ZG, and two different color McLaren Sennas this summer. As of yet whatever the differences are between a ZG and a Street Custom (beyond the Watanabes and probably a P/E Strut Brace and turned metal Intake trumpets) are not being offered as an unassembled model kit.
  6. Relatively easy when NASCAR is supplying you with all of the design files even before the teams themselves received them. Jim Rogers mentioned recently that he had been working on breaking all of those design files down into an actual model kit since May of 2021, so by the time it was all said and done with (including an emergency stop to move the exhaust exit location) these kits have been in development for almost a year.
  7. Hasegawa is their importer in Japan, so they themselves weren't actually there (although they are back up and running).
  8. But now you can build the BMW that makes everyone hate the new Supra...?
  9. I guess Ford wants to play ball the least in terms of licensing, or that's been their story the past few weeks on that Saturday Morning web show they do. Sounds like they also have other obligations they have to get made to other licensors before the end of the year. It was mentioned that the upcoming (vintage obviously) Roadrunner has to be out before October to meet a deadline set in one of their contracts. I also believe the deal they're trying to swing with Ford is more expansive than just the NextGen Mustang, they have all of those old Monogram Thunderbird tools lurking in the background.
  10. Next Spring probably, they signed a deal with Joe Gibbs Racing last week, so Toyota itself is a formality. Rick seems to think they will have Camrys out by August.
  11. This morning from the Department of Left Field Department we got the debut of the new Meng 1/24 kit...
  12. Go back one page, it's the last post before we started Page 3. No info other than the prototype and a "2023" release date.
  13. I'd like to claim full credit on that, but that would be fibbing. But suffice it to say I've been pushing for it to be done ever since it was peeking out of the corner at Macau chasing down Johnny Cecotto's 240 on the box art. Tom Walkinshaw is piloting the Rover and that's how they finished the race with the other team Volvo 240 (Thomas Lindstrom) finishing 3rd. Decals in the box to do both Volvos, and while the Rover is being tagged as a ETCC 1986 livery on the tag, if the Watson's livery isn't part of a 2n1 decal, it'll be out shortly thereafter from S.K. Decals.
  14. Also for your fat fendered Lambo needs the Liberty Walk Aventador. Presuming no further silliness this should be released in June.
  15. A lot of that Oil & Natural Gas wellsite work is subject to random stupid delays (they love to break stuff in ways that shut the site down) so having a sleeper on the truck comes in handy if you have some guys get stuck on a wellpad for extended hours. They can just take their break and you don't have to send a van full of relief drivers out to "rescue" the equipment. One place I worked at doing the fresh/waste water hauling put sleepers on some of the tank trucks that were usually sent on the odd jobs like pad set up and tear down, and well cement jobs where something that should have taken 2hrs takes 15. They also came in handy when they were running the frac and would lose the tip down the hole and you'd spend your entire 12 hr shift sitting in a gravel parking lot waiting to deliver a single load of water (often times not successfully)...there's a lot of money wasted. ?
  16. Taking a quick spin around the PlatzmaBeemaNuNu stand...the back row are models we should see in 2022 including the Volvo BTCC, Audi A4 BTCC and 2008 E90 320i WTCC The middle tier of prototypes are a Alfa Romeo 155 (the Touring Car version, not the DTM monster), Rover SD1, 24hrs of Le Mans RX-7, and BMW 320i Gr. 5 Also on display is their upcoming 1/12 Lotus and first motorcycle project, something that's been talked about behind closed doors for awhile, and they also announced they will be doing another 1/12 F1 Car with a McLaren MP4/4.
  17. Hopefully at some point someone will take a photo closer with not a potato, but this is the Revell Audi e-TRON GT
  18. Aoshima showing a prototype for an upcoming Liberty Walk Lamborghini Murcielago
  19. The fake COPO has all the parts you need to build an actual Yenko Nova. Non-SS grille and rear trim, flat hood, bench seat, poverty wheels, etc. Then the parts left over from the two, and the decals included with the COPO kit you can make a reasonably accurate SS396 Nova. Actually if you wanted to do that, the cheap and easy "trick" - so you don't lose any parts moving stuff around - is to swap the decal sheets between the two kits. *Poof* Yenko Nova and SS396 Nova. Now with the ice cube tray Camaro coming along you could have both Yenko and SS396 versions of both cars display together (along with SS350 ones)
  20. The Convertible kits are 1972s. 1971 was the last year of the actual 442s. In 1972 it was an appearance package, but no longer an actual separate model.
  21. I just have my paycheck deposited directly to them...saves time. Although 5 kits @ $27 isn't exactly breaking my wallet.
  22. I saw this video "news" posted elsewhere and when I commented on it the comments got turned off...? While I will say I don't see a single price increase currently in effect either at the retail or distribution level based on lists available this morning, does it really surprise anyone that they're coming? The raw material price to make paint had started to rise pre-pandemic and the resulting 18 months of chaos certainly did nothing to solve that problem. My problem is with this guy's maths...First off all on a distribution level you can't buy those little jars individually, they only comes as a six pack and the price is listed as such. As pointed out 46% isn't doubling, and based on the current pricing that increase would make the price $3.79 - at MSRP. That's the other problem I have with this type of scare for clicks content. It's MSRP...nobody pays MSRP, and only Hobby Lobby and HobbyTownUSA seem to have the gal to price things that high. I'm not necessarily sure I believe Rustoluem is trying to kill off Testors by any means. But the customer base who uses it constantly shrinks as there just aren't that many people loyal to enamel paint (outside of specific color match stuff like MCW/Scale Finishes) like there was 35-40 years ago and other (better) paint has established footholds into hobby shops for decades. But anytime a volume business- in this case breaking down a quart of paint into dozens of little bottles and then charging 1/5 quart price for a few ounces of it - suffers a loss of volume sales it makes it more and more expensive to keep the product out there.
  23. I HLJ'd again. This batch of 12C kits brings my inventory of kits in balance with my inventory of aftermarket decal sheets. Normally I don't go quite that retentive about that sorta thing, but when this version of the 12C (pre-2013 facelift) went out of production last time it was gone for over half a decade and secondary prices for them went bonkers. Now I have as many as I'll ever need and never have to worry about what they cost again. Also love these sets of pre-painted license plates Platz has released. This is the 3rd set, hopefully they'll do more in the future. The pre-finished ones are for 2000cc engine size tax stamps, but they include enough decals to make pretty much any class/tax value vehicle on the road with a little time and effort put into studying the license plate system.
  24. As posted right before this thread was revived, Reji Models did do a gravel set of wheels and tires for it. You can order things directly from Reji although it takes a minor song and dance to pay for things. There are a number of vendors in the UK & EU that carry their product line as well.
  25. It's up to individual shops and vendors to order Revell German releases, they are no longer forced shipped to retailers like they were under the Hobbico ownership. So yes it will be for sale here, no it will not be specifically reboxed and renumbered as a U.S. release.
