That's the truth! I usually do something like this right after a REALLY complicated build just to give my brain a rest. I like this and I'm not even a Vette guy
-
very nice. Like how all the subtle body detail differences between the two are correct. Nice work
-
looks nice. I really want to build one of these but I doubt I could avoid over detailing it which would turn it into a two year project. On the job change note… yup… just stay after it. I've done it twice now and just changed again about 6 months ago without warning… yikes… it's all meant to happen

oh yeah… I think Jimmy Flintstone / Flintbone makes a 1/24 pole dancer figure…. and I think that would be hilarious. Or maybe a "stage on wheels" hehehe

To me an exotic is "rare" and "different". Cord Dusenberg Auburn … yes But those are "vintage" or "classic" to me. Think Tucker for Exotic. IMHO true exotics started are sports cars as well. Think of how the 300SL stood out. Jaguar C and D type. Or more modern Lamborghini and Ferrari offers. If you like modern cars there are lots to chose from. If you like more classics or vintage cars think 300SL, Jag C or D, Aston Martin DB1, 4 or 5, AC Cobra, etc. Hope that helps

Oh cool I should be able to show at both. Was going to do one in Milwaukee in Dec but we got snowed out.

Heather I LOVE it. LOVE the flat black and general dark appearance. Nice work I did finish mine as well if you want to check it out in the underclass section. Can't wait to see the truck you are working on!

La Cerrara Pan America - Nick Mason of Pink Floyd fame, put together this documentary on the famous race and a 80's re-run of the event. The visuals mixed with the Pink Floyd music are awesome. Love the Beast - Actor Eric Bana goes home to Australia and preps his childhood car for full road racing in the Tazmanian Rally. Documentary again. Anyone that has ever loved a car should see this. Plus the Jeremy Clarkson parts are hilarious.

one of the best looking Integra builds I've seen. Car looks great. Engine bay looks NICE. LOVE the red sway bars on under carriage details. Looks GREAT
-
this car… mmmmm… so many possibilities... which kit did you use?
-
what a fun build. I LOVE these cartoon cars… great work!!!
-
That thing is AMAZING!!! I love everything about this build. Mind = Blown
-
I built the same kit not long ago. Looks nice in gunmetal… good work
-
I can't figure out how they got this done for around $45. LF-A $80 + DBS $70 + GT-R $60+ DBS w/PE $100+ I'm not complaining … just wondering what the difference is?
-
Nice work. The wheel choice looks nice.
-
Looking good Zen!! And Kurtis… that mustang is NICE
-
that's sweet. Where did you get the plans? I want to do a small barn like that
-
good looking! I've wanted one of those kits for some time. Looks like the build is going smooth.

Oh man that diorama is NICE!

Hey Zenrat… Thanks for the nice welcome. I really did miss you guys. It was a chaotic crazy three years. I think I've finally found what I was looking for… If you want to see what I've been up to at the bench check out the 49 Merc in under glass I did during my 10 week forced vacation. Seems people like it. 64SS350 that paint looks nice. Deep, smooth and sharp without being gloopy or killing the details. That gen of Impala is a MONSTER. Big - HUGE and rear wheel drive. A Z28 with 4 doors. MONSTER engine bay… nothing in the chevy catalog you can't mash into there… can't wait to see it finished up
-
I LOVE that car. A definite lust object from when I was younger… nice!!
-
The Tamiya Enzo. That's not easy to say because my Tamiya AM DBS turned out better but the Enzo is freaking amazing. It goes together almost like the real car, is amazingly detailed, unlimited detail opportunity, looks stunning. Mine came with a small set of carbon decals that just set everything off. And all this for not too bad of a price.

Sixth annual?!?! Oh man. "I'm out of it for a while and everyone get's delusions of grander," said Han Solo. Well I toed the starting line the first two years. Was all set to make the first three then dropped out of sight as real life happened. I can't tell you how happy I am to see this thing is alive and kicking! And largely unchanged. nope… no way I'll get a car together by the deadline. I can only hope there will be a 2014 contest. Thanks for keeping things going. Dave

Try it… you might like it! I was in a slump for most of the last year doing little if any building and virtually no posting or reading of the forums. With a forced vacation for the last two months building has been a great distraction. Having a lot of free time I've also done more reading on the forums. I was surprised going through the How-To questions that I have worked through many of the same issues people were having. Taping, paint, roll cages, custom exhaust, engine swaps, custom decals… on and on… I really enjoyed sharing my experience. I know many times I have been jammed up or lost on a project and the how-tos have helped. I never thought I would be able to contribute. I guess my skills, er mistakes, have finally piled up to a point I can help… and it was FUN! Give it a try
