I was there for setup, but had to leave on Friday. I must say, I think my dad did an awesome job with the show - I've been to tons of car shows, and I've never seen such a large gathering of ultra-rare musclecars, and all were real! A recap of my favorites: 4 of the original 9 1970 Hemi Cuda convertables (I even got to drive the white one!) A bunch of other E-body converts, including a Canadian Black on Blue 440 Cuda - way too cool) 2 '69 Daytonas 2 '70 Superbirds, one of which was a former NASCAR Too many Baldwin Motion cars to count (I also got to drive a Motion Camaro) Several COPO Camaros and Novas Ateast 2 ZL1 Camaros El Hemi (real and model! I met the owner Juan Escalante, who is a great guy!) A real Shelby Cobra The only documented Hemi Challenger that came with a TA hood from the factory And a ton of other cool stuff!

Don't forget, we also have a Revell Make & Take going on!

Funny, Laura has recently started sitting in my "office" while I play lately. I agree, adds enjoyment.

This is the coolest build I've seen in a long time, love it!

Unfortunately (fortunately) I'll be in Mexico -
Very nice work. What did you use for painting the exhaust, it looks amazing.

I'm sure he is, and I've read nothing but great reviews. I cast alot of resin parts, I know the process, I guess that's why i want t faster, lol, maybe I'm just impatient. Ok yea, I am impatient This wasn't meant to be a bash on him, just explained why I was looking for another source, because the obvious option wasn't immediately available. -

TMR just emailed back and said they'd try to get it out sooner, that would be cool. I think my fab skills suck, lol. -

Nah, thats OK. I'm working on a hood right now from a Shaker, if it doesn't work out I'll just wait for the Time Machine hood and hope the paint matches being sprayed at a later time, if I can't find something faster. -

Another great question, and something that sucks about making a model without an exact reference car - half of the pictures I have are orange, half are blue, and 1 was black, lol. So I went with blue because thats what I feel like was right - meaning its probably wrong. Also, the air cleaner is removable. I've got the yellow air cleaner emissions sticker, the green and white fender tag emissions sticker, adn the yellow core support sticker. I stole the Air Cleaner sticker from the Revell '69 Charger, and made the other 2. -

I checked eBay and didn't see anything, do you have the contact info you could send me? I started makog my own, doesn't seem too hard, but it would be nice to have a fall back... -
I ordered the hood from Time Machine Resin, but when I emailed to inquire about the status I got the following message: "Your order has been received. Website orders usually take at least four weeks. Right now we are running behind on shipping website orders so it may take a little longer. Thanks for your order. Jeff Watlington Time Machine Resin." I find that to be a bit silly, since casting takes less time than responding to my email, lol. I'm not going to cancel my order, I'd just like something a little faster than maybe a month. If not I guess I'll try to make my own in the mean time.

The hitch looks great, is it scratch built or from a kit?

This is probably my favorite and nicest build yet. I like the odd stuff. Next up is a red on red Slant6 Challenger Convert (inspired from a real deal ar in a Mopar mag), and then a Hang 10 Dart. -

A blurry picture of the excess plastic removed and test fitting the Revell core support: Back to the decal paper, I printed out a bunch of Emission and Cooling System decals for underhood: For fun I reproduced a Broadcast sheet to 'throw' on the front seat: When its officially done I'll likely make an 'Under Glass' thread. You can see this car in person at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in Chicago November 20 & 21 at the Model Car Contest. www.MCACN.com -

I'm just about done with this build! Engine compartment coming togather (notice the correct positioned carb, lol): Interior into the body: The windshield frame was a little warped, I figured that the glass would straighten it out. Unfortunately I was wrong, and didn't notice it until I looked at the pictures, after everything was glued togather - Grrrrrrrr! I snagged a Revell '69 Charger from Meijer for $11, and it has a ton of great parts, so I adapted some of the details to this build. I'm using the heater hoses, wiper motor (not pictured) and core support (not pictured.) Here is a test fit of the heater hoses: (Yes, I have touched up the blemish on the fender well - I had the washer fluid bottle in the wrong place, just had to touch up the paint a little) Steering wheel and rear view mirror installed, along with the single exterior side mirror: The core support/grille area looks like ######, so I decided to cut it out and use the part from a Revell '69 Charger. Here is the start: Cutting that out: -

That's a nice thing to do. I love the layout you did with the paint, looks great so far! -
It would have been nice if they modeled after these: http://www.lingenfelter.com/LPEforumfiles/showthread.php?t=592

Both the real car and the model will be featured at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in Chicago in a few weeks. Check it out! www.mcacn.com
