Someone had told me that the phone wire was "PERFECT" for use as spark plug wires, so since I had over a hundred foot of it, I took the time to strip it ALL!! Then when I went to use it, I realized that it was really too large for it! So at any rate I now have over 600 feet of colored wires! LOL. By the way, if someone is looking for that kind of wire, I have more then plenty and willing to strike up a deal! LOL.I thought it was more suited for like battery cables, or maybe rubber lines like heater hoses and such.Thanks. Jody

Very cool! I will be making a video tutorial on mine. Also, mine will be available for sale starting today. $2.99 for a unassembled kit, or $6.99 for assembled, polished and cleard pair. They also double as glass packs or what some call cherry bombs. Thanks. Jody

Need To Source These Parts

Yes, I was turned onto that earlier. If someone has a set I could get maybe? Thanks. Jody -
Alright, I have a couple of projects where I want high performance style mufflers. So while in the city today, I picked me up some aluminum to go with my brass. To do this, you will need a small ruler like a engineers 6" ruler, a small flat file, a round one, optional, a methos of cutting the metal tubes. I have a small miter saw from Ebay($35). Also, something to glue them together like epoxy or superglue. I am using 1/8" brass tubing and 3/32" aluminum tubing. These equate to a scale 2 3/8" exhaust pipe and a 3 1/8" muffler. For better realism, you could use alminum tubing for both and polish. You could also use styrene if you plan on painting them! Here, I cut the brass to 1/2" or a scale 12" length and the aluminum tubing to 5/8" or a scale 16". Then slide the brass over the aluminum tubing and glue. Make sure to leave 1/16" of aluminum showing on both ends, or a scale 2" length for clamping the rest of your exhaust system together. Thank you! Jody

Need To Source These Parts
Smart-Resins replied to Smart-Resins's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The lanterns in the boothills not quite what I am looking for. Now the front fenders in the chopped duece would be. Actually, thank you. I used to have the street demaons version when I was a young lad. Such a hard finicky kit! I have been wanting to find one for some time. The street demons version usually goes for too much. But this version I may be able to find I hope? Thanks. I was thinking, did the black street T kit have lanterns?Jody -

1926 Snow Tractor
Smart-Resins replied to Jon Cole's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Quick history, it was not invented by henry Ford!! it was originally designed by a switz. Later was reworked in the 20's by the armsteads, and was called the Fordson Snow Motor. Here is a link to the wikipedia info on it! I posted this about a year ago here. LOL. I do still enjoy watching it though! Thanks for the link. All I did was copy and paisted it into the google search bar and it came up just fine for me! Thanks. Jody http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screw-propelled_vehicle -
Need To Source These Parts
Smart-Resins replied to Smart-Resins's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Well, I believe I have found that Bob Dudeck is no longer doing his drums, but infact that Replicas and Miniatures Of Maryland is doing them. Rodburner confirmed that! It is rumured they may also have some zoomies? As for the motor, I have the Revell Parts Pack Caddy. Not the greatest shape as its been stripped and painted and stripped again. But I can work with it if need be. The problem is, I do not like its intake. I want to put on a Socal Speed Blower onto the motor so I need a different intake that will work if I can find one. For the Bicycle fenders, either someplace where I can get resin ones, or kit ones could work. The lanterns, more then likely looking for kit pieces. Thanks. Jody -

The New A-Team!
Smart-Resins replied to Custom Hearse's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Looks pretty cool. Only downfall, not the original BA Barracus!! LOL. Jody -
I am looking for finned brake drums, zoomies that will adapt to a Revell Parts Pack Caddy motor, Bicycle fenders for a T bucket, A intake manifold for the Revell Parts Pack Caddy motor that will allow a bolt on SOCAL blower, custom pullies for the same engine with a seperate belt and a place to get scale bolts and nuts from. Also interested in old lantern style lights for same T bucket. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks. Jody

I have to say, not much into the 50's vettes, or roadsters with open wheels. But.... This is one excellent build! Came together nicely. I like the way the body lines still flowed smoothly after the hack job. The engine is well detailed and the finned rotors add great class! The interior and trunk are super additions and again flow nicely. So even though ita a subject matter I dont like, I still would have to give you two thumbs up on this one! Jody
