  1. Welcome, neighbor!
  2. Outstanding work, Mark! And I'm very impressed with your frugality.
  3. Very nice!
  4. They put on a great show. See you there!
  5. You do that too, huh?
  6. Wow, nicely done, Art!
  7. Congrats!
  8. Sorry for your misfortunes, glad the show helped your spirits. Not a member of their club, and I haven't talked with them all week, so I really don't know if they got your message.
  9. Finally got my pics uploaded. You can see them all here.
  10. Very nicely done! And if you don't mind another tip ... A little blackwash on those headers to give it some "shadow" would do wonders for the realism.
  11. I remember it vividly, as I was seated on the back stretch when it happened. I remembered hearing a loud "thud", then seeing the pieces slide down the track. You can't imagine how quiet that place became, followed by how loud it got when he stood up. Just an amazing and surreal thing to experience.
  12. That one was built by Tommy May. I told him the squirrel was running the wrong direction. But he corrected me ... the car is actually in reverse.
  13. That's what I would do as well. Though I usually use a 30-minute so I have plenty of time to work, and plenty of time to remove any goofs.
  14. Great talking with you, Bryan. And, man, you're builds were outstanding! I'm sure we'll bump into each other again soon. Thank you, Bob!
  15. Oooo, I love it. Outstanding job Dave!
  16. I'll definitely be on the lookout for that. Thanks for the tip, Jim!
  17. Spot on! I took these pics at the Blackhawk Museum in Danville, CA, in 2009.
  18. Actually, the V8 in the '78 was a 305, not 350. Of course, there is little or no difference externally, so in model form that's irrelevant. And there was definitely a V6-powered Monte Carlo in '78, though I have no idea how many were built.
  19. Very nice!
  20. Yep, I just recently picked up a bottle at the local supermarket. It was, and still is, an S.C. Johnson product. Not sure why it was relabeled, but probably for the "Pledge" name recognition.
