  1. Remember Y2K? Yeah, its like that.........
  2. My Granddaughter shows no interest in touching my stuff. I keep her away from my workbench because of the sharp stuff around. At contests we have "Please do not touch" signs on the tables, but at home I'm not too concerned about it. Cheers, Ian
  3. Chris, How did the build go? I've been thinking about picking one of those up, but the "Lindberg" thing kind of scares me away. Cheers, Ian
  4. Sean, You can try Alclad Chrome paint. It comes in a bottle for airbrushing or a rattle can. It has to go over a SMOOTH gloss black undercoat in light coats, otherwise it just looks like aluminum paint It looks pretty good when done. I just redid some chrome on my '65 Grand Prix rebuild that I'm doing for this GB, and it turned out ok. If I had a camera, I'd take pictures Cheers, Ian
  5. This is so cool.....
  6. Hey guys, While we are on the subject of classic cars, does anyone remember the article in Fine Scale Modeler from the late '80's or early '90's about the Rolls Royce pickup truck that was based on a vehicle that was featured in a book he read..? It was interesting to say the least...I think the Rolls "truck" was painted metallic blue, or something like that.. It would be a cool conversion, for sure Cheers, Ian
  7. Gregg, I actually did one a couple of years ago. 1/32nd scale MiG decals on a 1/48th scale B-29. It was pretty cool. Seal, you could always build an RAF Washington if you want something really different But I agree with the consensus here, if your bored with it, put it away for now. 1/48th scale B-29s aren't cheap anymore Cheers, Ian
  8. Because I got burnt out on aircraft

  17. I like F-1 racing as well. Back in the '80s, I was stationed near Silverstone, and I remember the insane traffic and crowds. F-1 is almost a religion in England I like Speeds coverage of F-. I like the commentary. I try to keep the politics and other stuff out of it, and enjoy the racing for what is is Cheers, Ian
