  1. Looks really cool for just thrown together. Not that I want to turn someone away from scratch building something but you can find open race trailers similar to that already in kit form. So you could get a really good start on replicating the trailer in the photo without having to scratch build everything.
  2. Sucks about the Bugaboo but I heard it was cancelled a while ago. Enterprise is NOT cancelled. Tower and R2 are having some issues over it.
  3. I've already voted and commented (said model) but I was looking at the picture again and realized something. If it is a model it's got to be HUGE the shadows are immense and match the background exactly. I Think the photo is real and I don't think the photo is messed with all that much if any by Harry.
  4. Same here, probably 1 in 5 (for me) delivery confirmations don't actually track anything or are sporadic at best. I just got a package today that still says it is being sorted in New Jersey. If I were the lying cheating type I would tell ebay, paypal and the post office it never showed up. Instead I sent the seller a message saying I got it today.
  5. I'm about 45 minutes away in Belleville, IL. Well right next to Belleville.
  6. When you build a sleeper that big what all is in there? Do they have mini kitchens and bathrooms like in a small camper?
  7. It's 100 times better than Top Gear America but it's still no Top Gear U.K. but it's only been two episodes. Got to give Adam Carola a full season or two.
  8. Really cool. What did you use as the window screen and the bumper screen?
  9. Thanks, That was what I was thinking but being as I didn't start modeling till just 1 year ago I don't know about all the little goodies they used to put in kits. Once I knew kind of what to look for I found that the photo on the sticker is the same art as the 1962 Revell Plymouth Valiant kits instruction sheet AND that the same photo was used in print ads for the Valiant so the photo must have came from Plymouth. Thanks again.
  10. I picked up a box of vintage junk parts and in the bottom of the box was a sticker with a Plymouth Valiant on it a brief description of the car and a copyright date of 1961. I tried looking this up through Google and even tried looking it up on ebay. I can't find anything about these "Master Modeler Stamps". Anyone have any idea what these were for or how they were circulated.
  11. Maybe not better than Ozzy but do they make your top 5 bands named after midieval torture devices?
  12. I had to look up what thumbscrews were. Don't use those if you crush your fingers you can't model and that would be sad. I need to freshen up my knowledge of midieval torture devices.
  13. I'm sorry i didn't know GENERAL was code for car.
  14. I usually start building and plan as I go. I don't think I have ever written down notes except for color and potential sponsors for race cars.
  15. I was on ebay just a bit ago and noticed something. "Space shuttle model" is the second highest trended search term on ebay right now. I know it's because of the last shuttle launch but it's still probably the only time in history a model has ever been searched for enough to make the top search terms. Just thought it was interesting. I wonder how much the shuttle model I saw at the flea market last month for $15 is going to be this week.
  16. I'm saying model. The background/shadows are so obviously real that the truck and dozer have to be a model.
  17. The "Not for hire" decal and the DOT tape are the biggest things I am after. I have a couple of the smaller trailers and since all the trailers use the same decal sheet I have extra of some stuff but I really hate to use several pieces of remnant decal for the dot tape over getting the full length. It still takes one full length and a bit but I would rather only have one seam over using decal pieces that are just an inch long all down the side of the trailer. Perhaps I can get a sheet from Microscale instead of asking Galaxie to send me another sheet.
  18. That's what I am thinking. Someone in the St. Louis area must really need those decals.
  19. In the last two months I have bought 3 Galaxie Limited trailers from hobby shops and all three were missing the decals. I feel bad calling Gary a third time on this and I don't want him to think I am trying to rip him off. I don't know if it is someone stealing the decals out of the boxes or what but three different hobby shops and two different trailers have been missing decals. As anyone else had this issue? The trailers were the 36 ft. gooseneck and the 21 ft. tag a long (the two newest issues).
  20. Still not announced. May have been on this weeks Gearz show but the winners list is not online yet.
  21. Whats with the view cart button is this a diecast or something?
  22. The voltage is different but the cars work just fine. In fact Carrera cars are faster on Scalextric track because of the voltage difference. You can run 1/32 plastic cars anywhere from 9 volts to 18 volts with very little issue.
  23. Some really nice cars. Looks like a couple guys are into vintage dirt cars thats always a plus in my book.
  24. When I worked at a mail order warehouse we used to save 33% on USPS shipping with our online account and we only shipped about $20,000 in shipping cost a month. If we got a 33% discount on that much of a shipping amount I bet Ebay gets a even bigger discount considering that they probably pay $10,000 or more in shipping a week. So if Ebay charges you the normal USPS discount rate and them selves get just 33% off the shipping. That means they make an extra few bucks off of you AND they fee your cost of shipping. Which means not only are you giving ebay more money with the higher shipping amount you are paying an extra fee on that higher shipping. Talk about double dipping or is it triple dipping by that point.
