Looks good to me. I like the color choice too.

Spell checks are browser based so if spell check is messing up on MCM it should be messing up everywhere for you. Granted I am not a computer wiz so it still could be something in MCM messing with spell checking but it works just fine for me in Firefox, IE and Chrome. I have noticed that in the NEW version of Firefox (5.0) spell check is deleting the blank space after the spell checked word which is annoying but they are already working on a fix for that issue. The only thing I can think is maybe somehow your Character encoding was changed from Western to something else and it's freaking spell check out. Spell check wouldn't change words that are already typed correct unless it was reading them as something else, i.e. a foreign language.

Looks really cool. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Another reason why I dislike ebay
ra7c7er replied to ra7c7er's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yeah I agree. But while ebay is contacting and talking to the seller for me. They are not so much on my side. I have had three different ebay reps tell me to just take the money. -
Central Illinois Scale Auto Builders: Meeting
ra7c7er replied to Monte's Motors's topic in Model Club News and Announcements
Just found out I have to babysit this weekend. I will hit up the next one though. I am still working on a meetup here to. -
I won an auction for four model kits and 10 days later the seller still has not shipped the kits. I contacted ebay a couple times and yesterday ebay finally got the seller to contact them. The seller just wants to give me my money back and keep the items because in the sellers own words "the items are worth 10 times what he [me] paid... I would rather take the negative feedback, return the money, and resell the items". I have twice refused a refund and since I have never asked for one he can't just send me one. So I am fighting it out with ebay. Apparently this practice is becoming more and more prevalent for sellers to do when they don't get the prices they want for an auction. Sorry ebay sellers that is what an auction is sometimes you make your money and sometimes you don't. It's not the buyers fault. I won the auction fair and square. SEND ME MY STUFF.

Paper model, cool. Definitely showing its age but still really cool.

You don't want to do this . . .
ra7c7er replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Really? Cool. My bad then. edited post. ---- You can see the knob for quick release on the steering wheel where it attaches to the shaft. Obviously well above where the shaft broke. -
You don't want to do this . . .
ra7c7er replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yeah, the shaft broke. The quick release is right on the steering wheel not down on the shaft. Also when he goes to put it back on he stops and looks at it then throws it to the side. It's broken. The good thing about just the quick release breaking or disengaging is that you and still hold the steering wheel down. -
Unique Diorama Idea

Uh oh, UPS is in for some claims. Wonder how they kick that back onto the contractor. -
It's something to do with Canadian importing or something. I have never been in a Michaels that charged that much here in the US but constantly hear about high Michaels prices in Canada.

Ken Block has the personality of a dead fish to. He is so wrapped up in thinking he is gods gift to cars that he forgets what he is doing when he has more to do than just do doughnuts around barricades.

I have rarely heard anything bad about RR's products but it is extremely common to hear about Don's bad attitude. Attitude goes a long way in business. Some people get it and some don't.

Nascar seems to be pretty much the catch all for most of the racing builds. Honestly I think changing Nascar to Race car wouldn't cause to much distress but apparently several times changing it has been shot down.

Pegasus wheel dealers in Australia???
ra7c7er replied to DiscoSpud's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You can order directly from Pegasus. Pegasus website. They just changed their website a bit and it is kind of strange but give them a call. They can get you what you need or tell you the name of their Australian distributor so you can find a hobby shop in AU that carries/orders their products. -
Those models are insane.

Anyone have a spare million laying around?
ra7c7er replied to ra7c7er's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I thought the Brat was cool. But not 5,000 grand cool. If you want to spend 5,000 on one you can get a real one in decent condition for the same price. -
Not exactly a plastic model but it is SMP. http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Scale-Model-SMP-1959-Chevy-Impala-1-25-scale-/190507362967?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c5b1faa97 Their is no reserve set makes me want to offer 10 bucks just to ruin his 1,000,000 dollar buy it now. This why people hate ebay. And then their is this. http://cgi.ebay.com/1979-Subaru-Brat-AMT-1-25-scale-kit-Lesney-2709-nice-/180677211742?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a1133765e Really? you want me to pay your morgage? Why don't you take that kit to your bank and tell them it's worth 5,000. Maybe they can help you out.

The tv coverage drops every year. It just annoys me because they could do things to get cameras on the track without camera men operating them. I did think Speed bringing it up 10 times an hour was a bit excessive.
-
It was a great race. I caught all 24 of it, much to the annoyance of my girlfriend, and thought it was one of the better races I have seen. Granted all of the last few years has been really great. The race didn't go without having issues though very little to do with the actual race though. The AM class has to go. Guys with ZERO night racing experience on the track. Guys who have never endurance raced. Guys who had less than 50 total races on their resume. Their are so many great road course racers and endurance racers that don't get a ride for this race and what do teams do. They go out and get Michael Waltrip. What a joke. "I'm out there for the experience" "I'm just turning laps and enjoying the race I know I'm not out their to win" What???? this is the biggest auto race in the world are you kidding me. This isn't your start and park Nationwide team Michael. This the big time. Grow up and drive. You spent every second on tv sounding like an idiot and your driving didn't make you look any better. I could have done exactly what he did. Everyone on this forum could have done what he did. You know whats sad Patrick Dempsey did better than him and Patrick has less than a 10th the experience Michael has. Speed coverage sucks. They spent the whole time dumming everything down for the American viewer and every time they went to "Talk to the fans" all they did was make Americans look stupid. I spent over half the race with the TV muted and listening to Radio Le Mans. Only two announcers had any sort of clue what they were doing and one of them obviously didn't even want to be their. Which I don't blame him. And what was with the comments about the track being lit up better than Daytona for the Rolex 24? Daytona looks like Midday with all the lights they put up Le Mans has miles of track where the only lights are your headlights. Geezus guys you don't even have a clue what your talking about. The camera situation. Seriously French TV you can buy static cameras for like 200 bucks and just put them around the track for the night. Or put more cameras in cars. Or have automatic cameras that are controlled buy the guys in the comm. truck. Seriously no reason to not have coverage of the whole track. I will admit though the traffic cameras were awesome. The the city/government that let them use them I say thank you it was really neat. Anyway I could list off the few other things that really bugged me but I am just glad that again we in America could see the whole race. Maybe next year Speed will try harder. Congrats to Audi and the other class winners.

Is styrene carcinogenic?
ra7c7er replied to sjordan2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I thought people have been saying styrene was carcinogenic for a while. I vaguely remember a science teacher freaking out on me about the effects of burning styrene and breathing the fumes way back in high school. I can understand how breathing fumes can be bad and I understand but that is the case with any fumes. If you are not burning it and sucking in the fumes like 1970s hippy you are going to be just fine. -
How Many Hours Per Week Do You Spend Modeling?
ra7c7er replied to XJ6's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
since getting a job and working on a 1:1 car my modeling time has went from 30-40+ to probably somewhere in the 10 or less range. -
Was in the Chicago area. Really sad to see one of those planes go down.
