You can buy the movie for about 10 bucks. Other than buying the movie I couldn't find very many pics/screen shots. http://www.amazon.com/Mother-Jugs-Speed-Bill-Cosby/dp/B00018D3YG

SHRINK-WRAPPED MODEL BOXES
ra7c7er replied to paul alflen's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Good to know. Every once in a while I see kits on evilbay from the 60's claiming to be shrink wrapped. Now I know they are fake. -
LOL, not exactly all it did to me was go in reverse till I hit a guard rail. Thing about my little reverse trip was that it didn't go nearly as fast as that would have been going to do all that. I was probably only doing 3-5 mph. For him to ramp up into that house like that he would have had to be going with some speed. I think their is more to the story than is in that article.
-
This is what I think happened. He hit a pole at obviously high speeds. He was probably dazed and when he put the car in reverse and hit the accelerator the throttle stuck. The reason why I think that is what happened is because that is exactly what happened to my Chrysler Seibring a few years ago.

SHRINK-WRAPPED MODEL BOXES
ra7c7er replied to paul alflen's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Could it be a trick question? I have seen kits as old as 1963 sealed. I would have thought they shrink wrapped them from the very beginning. -
As always I boned myself right before a good sale happens. I opted to get paid a week late (so my check would be more) and now this sale is going on. Guess that is how it works. Happened last time I asked to get paid late too. All I can say their better be some good stuff at the flea market this upcoming weekend.

2011 Revell-Monogram fall releases
ra7c7er replied to Luc Janssens's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Hopefully then they include both figures and the tree. I will buy the kit for for those. --- Revell should release individual figures or maybe a bunch of them in a set. That would have been a better idea than the engines they released a few years back. -
I almost bought at kit today but passed on it. Your build makes me wish I would have picked it up. They are all very nice builds.

I agree. All of the entries have been great. Good luck to everyone.

When they got past Russia I figured they were going to win. -
Here are some of my builds
ra7c7er replied to Wheels's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
The service truck is my favorite. Minus dual feul tanks and a couple side marker lights that bed is the same as what is on my stepdads work truck. -
Awesome. Some sort of apocalypse plane. I think Dr. Cranky is going to freak when he sees this.

Oh geez. I feel like a tool. Glad to see the stuff going to other builders though.

ROLL CALL OF NEW KITS: MAKE PUBLIC OR NOT
ra7c7er replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think they should announce just about everything. What you have to remember is that just because they announce it it doesn't mean it is actually going to come out. How many times have we seen that in the past. Announcing early is a way for the companies to gauge interest if not enough interest is shown then it may not actually come out. What I think would be really cool is if they announced MOST things but left a few surprise releases that are just found on the shelves one day. The same way RC companies release special edition bodies in come kits, but not even the shops know if they are going to get the special editions. -
Not so mythical actually. They do exist as touring cars. Here's a pic of one

I tried your link and noticed your link has some extra stuff it shouldn't have. This is how your link currently looks and the stuff in bold shouldn't be there. Just erase everything I have in bold and save the link and it will work. http://s53.photobucket.com/albums/g73/Jantrix/%3Cbr%20/%3E This is how it should look and this link works. MCM auto shortens links but as you can see after taking off the extra stuff the link works fine. http://s53.photobucket.com/albums/g73/Jantrix Now if you are trying to edit your signature and it just isn't working that is a issue in the MCM forum that is reoccurring for many users.

Anyone from Belleville, Illinois or the surrounding area?
ra7c7er replied to ra7c7er's topic in Where's Waldo?
Somewhere in Greenville would be great and might even draw a few St. Louis modelers out. Third weekend is no good for me though. I am busy that weekend every month. Any chance you could do it another weekend? -
Where to find Parts Pack engines
ra7c7er replied to Kaleb's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm not sure what you are looking for on ebay that is showing you 14.99 engines with 5 dollar shipping. Most of the ones i see are 5. After three searches I have only found a couple listings that have them for 14.99. Their is a guy on ebay that sells them for 5 each with free shipping. -
Really cool. I still think those guys were crazy.
