  1. This tool sounds almost like a must have. I think I will put it on my list.
  2. Happy Birthday. It's not everyday you turn 39 for the seventeenth time.
  3. Really sharp. The booties are a great touch and refreshing to see after all the dice you generally find on models.
  4. I had never heard of convertibles being called spiders/spyders. Sounds like an interesting bit of trivia.
  5. Looks like a cool build. Question is that some sort of scale the car is on in that pic?
  6. If can find it I am interested also.
  7. Wow that body is nice. The chassis is good too.
  8. I think they got that after spying on me. I have never sat in glue but I did accidentally smash a glue tube after getting frustrated. That was a mess to clean up.
  9. I did, had enough change in the jar to put the some fuel in the tank. Went to the show to with 17 bucks and two models to trade. I walked out with 19.
  10. This is really cool. I just need to get an airbrush first.
  11. Same here. I just meet a guy who's model kits wouldn't fit in my first apartment. Then he goes on to tell me he only builds about one a year but buys between 50 and 100 kits a month and has been since the 80s. Not only has model kits in his basement and spare room but in TWO storage units.
  12. I think it look really cool. I will be following your build.
  13. That's funny. Such an easy fix. Just hope the oil companies don't see it. They might not be happy as you are.
  14. Sounds like this is going to be a really cool build. One question though. Are you using more photo etch parts than parts in the kit? I think that would be cool.
  15. I don't really like it either and I usually like his stuff.
  16. I like it a lot.
  17. I just picked up a sealed special edition 64 GTO (with the Arnie Bestwick? decals) for 10 at a local model show.

    A Rescued Ford

I like it. Looks really aggressive with the red windows.
  19. Judged winners are often not the best either. Just my two cents. I think a model of the month type thing would be cool but I think their are to many people on this board to do it fairly. The DPMCC forum gets like 20 entries for model of the month. Here Harry and Gregg would probably see hundreds of entries each month. I don't think Harry and Gregg would have a enough time to go through all the entries. And if it was a peoples choice it just becomes a popularity contest.
  20. You are getting your wish. They are reissuing the faux-GMC wrecker and it's a dually. http://downloads.hobbico.com/misc/rmx/2011_FallNR_Brch_lo.pdf
  21. Yes, hardly anything is the same. I think just about the only thing that hasn't changed is the wheelbase. Also from what I have heard Gambler doesn't even exist anymore. Knowing it's going to be a reissue will probably knock the model off my short list. The model show I went to last week had the sprint cars in the 10-15 dollar range. So paying double just for some new decals isn't all that appealing to me.
  22. I just had a friend ask me if the Sprint car would be updated or if it would be a reissue with new decals. Guess we will have to wait and see.
  23. Cool Cool. I'm in the South Western (across the river from St. Louis). I attend Belle-Clair Speedway every Friday and I try to hit up other local tracks throughout the season. Illinois is a great state for dirt racing.
