Paypal should take care of your problem. Seems odd that you sent him 300 and he doesn't have enough money to ship. -
I can't really say anymore than has already been said this is just amazing.

Model auction tomorrow
ra7c7er replied to Pastor Plastic's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
They will more than likely sell them individually or in small groups of 2-5. That way makes more money. Since they have such a large amount of them though they could do more. Make sure you look through the kits well you don't want to be bidding on something rare and high dollar just to find out it has a half built 57 Chevy sitting in the box. Honestly from what I have seen at auctions if you are willing to pay closer to retail/aftermarket price you will probably win just about everything you want. Most of the buyers will be resellers/prospectors who are trying to buy cheap. You should be able to knock them out quick. -

It's actually pretty easy from my house. I live .15 miles from a westbound on ramp to 64/70 then it's just miles and miles and six turns including parking, lol. I think you will be the first person I seek out, lol. I recently gave away two kits I bought at a flea market to a couple kids who were looking at some kits but didn't have enough money for some. I just bought them and figured they would enjoy them sooner than I would. -
H.O. scale has really taken off in quality in the last few years. The hobby as a whole as benefited from several companies closing. The remaining companies have really stepped up and brought out some great product. Auto World is leading the way again and that is great to see. AFX finally got the go ahead to produce some new chassis that are top notch.

I don't think you disagreed with me at all. The truck kits you mentioned are in the category I said "old and hardly reissued". My statement about Revell and R2 needing to wake up was geared more toward the cars/light trucks side of things. Semi's are so few and far between that reissues of those are welcome by many modelers not just hardcore truck builders. I mean I'm not a truck guy at all but I bought the Titan 90 the day it was in the local shop. I would rather see the Chevy Titan 90 reissued or the Freightliner or any other truck over another 57 chevy or 32 ford that seem to be cluttering up the shelves in every hobby shop.

I have been looking for a cheap semi accurate truck kit to put the racers wedge on. After not finding anything in my price range and continually looking at the Chevy Titan 90 that has been sitting on my to build shelf since my last stalled semi project. I got the idea to put the Racers Wedge on it. I already have realized that the wedge will sit much higher off the ground than if it were on a regular truck. I will have to custom up new ramps. What do you guys think, any tips or possible concerns.

Great build. I like the color choice.

Got this at an auction Tuesday. The photo is from the internet. Mine is sealed. I was recently told auctions are a great place to find older and cheap models. I went not expecting to find anything but I walked out with some 70's plane kits and the Peterbuilt. Problem with auctions you bid on stuff you don't really want or need.

My girlfriend told me I could take the car for the day. Now I just have to find the money to make the trip worth it. -
That 2CV will be on my list. But as others have said it would be nice if Revell did something different and not something that others have done and done very well.

Well it's that time of year again...
ra7c7er replied to thesnake87's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It's the same here. Every summer all the cool cars come out. I am not very good at identifying them though. -

I know Harvick threw a punch and their was bad blood at that time but that really was the most reckless thing he as done. Not only harmed another driver but officials, fans, and crew members. While I think Nascar needs more attitude what he did their was COMPLETELY uncalled for and should have warranted some sort of penalty. -
That's telling you Revell and R2 are not hitting on what the public wants. Reissue upon reissue of old kits isn't what the consumer wants to see. We want new and different or old and hardly reissued. I think with the advent of Mobius doing vehicle kits and Galaxy possibly coming out with more Revell and R2 just might start to get it.

I recently bought a Galaxy Limited trailer and just a couple days ago realized it was missing the decals. I didn't buy the trailer from a store (I got it from a model show). I called Galaxy not knowing if they were still offering support for the trailers and was just hoping to get a scan of decals so I could print them myself but the person on the phone didn't even bat an eyelash and offered to send me a replacement. He even asked me if the trailer roof was straight (guess that is a problem with some kits). Not only did they send me the decals they sent them in a priority box and wrapped them in plastic. It's been storming here all week and I guess they knew their was potential to get wet. Along with the decals was a hand written note "Tried to wrap them the best I could. If the decals are wet just call and we will get another set out". I don't know of ANY company that would go that far to correct something that wasn't bought retail. Thanks Galaxy I will be buying from you often. BTW - Galaxy has some new stuff in the works but all they would tell me was it's mid 50's and not a Ford or Chevy. I am eagerly awaiting their releases.
