  2. The new Strato Models Kenworth 925 Needle Nose kit. Kit contains a photoetched chassis like the ones from A&N Trucks. A nice Cummins NH engine without turbo. Rear suspension is a KW torsion setup. The fith wheel seems to be an ASF. The quality is out. A Kenworth S925 is planned for 2025 As far as I know all kits are sold out.
  3. This rear end belongs to a 1969 - 1977 Opel Admira B. The Admiral was the intermediate line of the Opel KAD (Kapitän/Admiral/Diplomat) lineup. The Admiral was offered as Admiral 2.8S (single carburator), 2.8H (Dual carb)and 2.8 E (Fuel injection) with automatic transmission and power steering. The 2.8l Opel CIH engine a inline 6. Opel's luxurious KAD lineup was canceled due a increased market share of Mercedes-Benz and BMW. Special the introduction of the Mercedes Benz W116 and the oil crisis in 1973 leads to a 90% decrerase of the total production of the KAD line.   4. As far as I found out there where a few Viva's HC Group 2 race cars with a Lotus 900 series engine. Those were based on the 2298 ccm Viva Magnum., most of them were coupes. The R/T come from the grill of the car that I saw at the NSRA Nationals in Peterborough in 2022
  5. This car was subject in a German television series "PS - Geschichten ums Auto". The series deals with stories from a fictional car dealership and the experiences of its employees and customers. One of the topics was a car that was constantly broken. And the car was a 1974 Atlantis Amalfi CS1800. During the planning phase of the series, the production decided not to use standard series vehicle from an actual manufacturer because they feared lawsuits for damage to their reputation, of any existing car manufactures. Instead, they invented the German car manufacturer Atlantiswerke from Hochheim am Main and its family sedan Amalfi CS 1800, whose name, however, was a reference to the Amalfi Coast, which allowed for associations with a foreign, namely Italian car. The Amalfi was a based on a Fiat 132 with the front fascia, plastic grill and headlights from a VW Passat B1. A NSU-Fiat Neckar 850 Adria donates the chrome inserts in the grill. Trunk and rear end were newly designed and features the taillights, fuel cap and the rear panel from a Mercedes Benz Strich-8 (W114/W115). The ventilation louvers were replaced by Fiat 126 louvers. Chrome parts like rear view mirror from a VW K70, rear bumper from a Passat, front bumper from a BMW 1602 and the side trim of a BMW (E12) 5 series were used. The interior was also modified. The car in the picture is a replica that was build in 2017, while the original car was scraped in 1983. The Amalfi is the synonym for a lemon car. Only on car was build in 1974.   8. The Skoda 110 Super Sport is a study derived from the 110 sedan, it has an aerodynamic plastic body, with two doors hinged at the top; the six iodine front headlights are retractable.   9. This woodie is a 1946 Chrysler Town & Country Convertible. In 1946 the town & Country were offered as a 2 door convertible and a 4 door sedan. The sales brochures also shows a 2 door roadster, 2 door sedan and a 2 door hardtop but none were sold to the public. Production continues until 1948.   11. I use wood decals from Uschi van der Rosten. These decals are the best available wood decals that you can get.Very thin decals with an excellent wood graphic. To apply the decals paint the wood area in your preferred wood paint i.e. Tamiya Desert Sand. You have to mark the wood area with tape and cut it ot. Plce the tape on the decal sheet and cut out the decal. Apply some decal solution on the model and place the decal on he model. Let it dry. After that you can apply some oil pain i.e Burnt Sienna to get more depth to the wood lwt it dry for a few days. Then spray on a coat of clear on it and you are finished. Here some models that I did with these decals
  12. I thought thjat this will be an easy one but some of you said that it is a 1966 Plymouth Fury Station Wagon. Yes it is a 1966 Plymouth Fury Station Wagon, but which model Fury I, Fury II or Fury III. THerefore I gave a hint regarding the numbers. The correct answer is 1966 Plymouth Fury III Station Wagon. You can identify the Fury III model on the batch in the grill, the chrome strip that runs from the lower edge front fender until the taillight and the chrome insert at the front fender. The Fury III were the upper line Fury with side chrome and plush interior. Fury II was the mid class model with a chrome strip that runs only around the belt line, while the Fury I was the simple base model with out side strip. Some times the internet is a not the source that gives you the correct answer. I can recommend the American car Spotter's Bible 1940 - 1980 as an offline source.   14. I saw this tiny car at a local car show. This 1968 Savio Jungla 600 is based on a Fiat 600D and follows the design concept of a Mini Moke or a Citroen Baby-Brousse except for the rear engine. Designed by Fiat and Around 3200 cars were build from 1965 - 1974 by Savio. Most of the cars were used by Italian Police or forestry use.   16. This car is was planned as a luxurious, prestigious car with focusing to replace the Citroen DS in car fleet of the Elysee palace. In 1966 Renault and Peugoet had agreed to develop a luxurious car. Renault build three different prototypes (fastback saloon, 2.5 box saloon and a saloon). The interior had longitunal adjustable rear seat and a two zone air conditioning. The body of the fastback saloon was inspired by the innovative Renault 16. Peugeot was responsible for the engine but the did also saloon. While Renault designed the car themselves Peugeot commissioned Pininfarina to do the job. The market for such a car was too small and the investigations in development and manufacturing of the car leads to a stop of the project in 1967. The engine design lived longer, not as a V8 but as V6. Based on the V8 the Renault-Peugeot-Volvo joint venture developed the legendary Dourvin 2.7l V6. The Renault H was powered by a 3.5l V8. The internet shows different years for this car one says 1966, the other 1967 and also 1968 were mentioned. Therefore these model years are correct.   18. This is a car from the "Wirtschaftswunderzeit" in Germany after the war. it is a 1951 Borgward Hansa 1500 Sport Cabriolet. The Borgward Hansa 1500 was a fairly fast car at 121 km/h compared to the competition (Opel Olympia; Mercedes-Benz 170 V). The sports convertible presented in 1950 even had an engine that had been boosted to 66 hp at 4400 rpm. This meant that buyers could race along the then-empty German motorways at 150 km/h. With the rear swing axle and diagonal tires, however, this was a death-defying undertaking! The pinnacle of luxury at Borgward in 1951 was the convertible based on the Hansa 1500 with a body by Hebmüller. For an enormous 12,300 DM, you not only got exclusivity, but also four seats.   20. Currently I'm working on a 3 speed manual transmission from my 1952 F1. Beside this I'm working on the brakes of my 1933 Ford Model Y Cairn Drophead Coupe. Don't to forget my spare 255 cui French Flathead for my F1.
  21. Niko, the best shop for scale model cars in Germany is U.S. Car Models Erich Schenkenberger , Taschnerstr. 3, 60388 Frankfurt am Main. He got the best assortment of 1/25 and 1/24 car model. He also have a bunch of older kits in store. Give him a call while driving to the south of Germany and stop by. Nearby Stuttgart in Denkendorf is Nimpex. They also got some nice kits, but mostly newer ones. In Munich try Traudl's Modellbau. Most of the regular modelling shops in Germany carry the usual Revell and Italeri stuff. Only a few stock amt kits. If you need more information you are welcome
