  1. Very cool build, Kacey! I actually like the rim center you made.
  2. That is a really cool build, Dirk. By the way, it wasn't until I saw your signature line that I realized you and I have the same name. Cool!
  3. Very nice work. Nice and clean. What kit did you get the intake from?
  4. Thanks, John! My favorite color is blue and I think I'll add a little clear carbon fiber to the front spoiler, rear diffuser and the tonneau (and possibly some interior parts too), so that the carbon fiber is subtle. I have some modified fuchs from a diecast Maitso notchback. I made some inner and outer rims/sleeves and widened the tires. I'll try getting some pics of those posted later. Again, thanks for the kind words!
  5. Thanks for the encouraging words, guys!!!
  6. Thanks, Scott! I appreciate the kind words! Here is a wider-angle shot of the chassis bolted to the body: If you look closely in this pic, you can see where the rear fenders were widened for the wider wheels and tires. Oh...I forgot to mention that the rear bumper had to be widened too. Also, inside the diffuser is where the exhaust tips will be (if I can get it to work). I'll try taking some pics of the exhaust tips, etc. later.
  7. I appreciate the kind words, Gents! I also made a chin spoiler and added a brass trim to the lower grill/opening I made. The plan is to polish and plate the trim: With mesh soldered to the trim: The chassis with mounting tabs for the upper and lower control arms (used some dirt modeler chassis do-dads):
  8. I've been trying to get back into it after finishing my drag bike. Those that know me, know how much I like the Pro Touring genre and some of you know that I also have an affinity for VWs. So, I thought I would make an attempt at melding the two. Following are some pics of my Porsche-powered VW Ghia. First is some chassis work (all pics are in my Fotki, so some of you may have already seen them through the Fotki feed): The idea is to reverse the Porsche motor and have it mid-engine for better and more efficient weight distribution: I made a buck and vacuumed a tonneau for the engine area in place of the rear seat and the convertible: I then made a air vent/louver system for the "air cooled" motor:
  9. Very nice build. I didn't even know about these cars until recently when I saw one on the garage at my job. You did a great job!
  10. I'm a big fan of the Pro-touring, G-machine genre and have to agree that you did a good job nailing the stance and look. I think that it is a very fine project and like it a lot! I too struggle with panel lines, so I just try opening all the panels, which can be a bit too much work.
  11. Looking good Edward. Count me in for waiting on the next installment.
  12. Your stuff is always killer, Daryl!
  13. Fantastic work, Bill!!!
  14. Missed this one. Always a treat to see your work, Virgil!
  15. x2 Good luck to you and your knee surgery too, T! You're also an asset and great inspiration to the hobby.
  16. Sorry to hear about your hand, Joe! This was one of my favorite builds to follow and will miss the progress. I hope you get better soon and can get back to showing us your great builds.
  17. Fantastic work, Bill! Can't wait to see more.
  18. Totally wicked, Joe! This project/build is definitely a favorite of mine!
  19. Looking good, Joe! Have you decided what you're going to do on the fuel pump? I think you mentioned a resin piece, but I know you also wanted to get it in billet.
  20. Simply marvelous, Bill!!!!
  21. Looking good, Mark. I like using the legos too, for those same reasons. Besides, it's another reason for me to play with legos again.
  22. Very cool.
