  1. That's amazing. But if those prices are correct it would be painful to spray it as liberally as shown in the demonstration.
  2. Of the many times I've seen this done I've been left a little vacant. But as an accent used like this, WOW!! That's truly exciting!
  3. Why would original shrink wrap even be a big deal? All it does is create doubt. Wouldn't the model sell better and be worth more when collectors and buyers can verify the original contents? I know of at least one case where many owners of a box honestly vowed to the authenticity of an original kit until someone finally cracked the vintage plastic only to find heartache because somebody, many years earlier did a switch-eroo. Shed the plastic, show the guts and cash in with confidence.
  4. I love what you're doing here. You may have already seen these in your research, but here are a few reference photos to help show how much you may still have to soften the Magnum's character lines. I sure like the Mirada.
  5. Great sleeper Nick. I like the wheel choice too. Kind of a fresh take on a Mopar standard.
  6. You must work at Wal•Mart.
  7. Personally, I'm a little suspicious. Heat shrink back then was a little cracklier and would certainly have yellowed by now and either compressed the box a tad or cracked in some places. Seller only says "sealed." If it was original shrink wrap he likely would have heralded it boldly.
  8. Beautiful, clean build and quite striking. Nice work.
  9. Mine has remained unbuilt because I keep thinking it will always look toy-like. Thank you for the excellent example of why it should be back on my "to do" list. Great pics too BTW.
  10. That's pretty forward thinking, considering you were awfully close to what the new VW is going to look like now, at least in the profile. Any more (bigger?) pics?
  11. Reel 1 says "we like to think everyone escaped with their lives." Yeah, right. Aside from the macabre public appeal of grievous bodily harm on some of those, I'm most impressed with how well it shows the speed of the classic racers. Those mad men MOVED in their clatter rods, make no mistake.
  12. Craigslist. No shipping, you're dealing face to face so you can negotiate an equitable price, no post-sale accusations, no fees or commissions and you're selling to people in your community who will share your enthusiasm for the hobby.
  13. Shawn, those are really fantastic models, all of them. I'll bet you learned a lot about the ISS building that.
  14. Excellent choices and execution. It's about as crisp and clean as a North Dakota winter.
  15. Has the body been dipped or coated with something? It's not just smooth, it's quite filled in, as seen in the front end shots. It's more than putty, sanding and painting isn't it?
  16. Hey what do you know? Something on the '60 Cor-Vex got an actual color, other than putty and primer.
  17. Still driving this. Ten years now. Meh.
  18. It's a beauty alright. Since everyone loves the color, could you tell me what color and paint brand? Thanks.
  19. I really love the graphics. A good example of "less is more."
  20. As cool as the character features look, I can't imagine a team would opt for it over a "cleaner" body unless the drag coefficient has been slightly reduced for all new models.
  21. I don't always look at these because they show up here often but I must say this is as fine a job as I've seen. Beautiful, clean build and impressive attention to detail. And to think you're only going to get better. I'll keep an eye out.
  22. That's penalty enough for me.
  23. You used a primer and made sure the plastic was thoroughly cleaned first?
  24. Nice work, I like this. I'm glad you included the stills. I vaguely remember the movie car.
