  1. One of the first movies to bring back 3D in 1981. I never walk out of a movie I paid for, so I suffered in some sort of continuum where time and space stood still while I languished in a vortex of boredom until the gods released me. I think the entire budget went into the poster, the movie shot for free.
  2. Battery dead on my camera, but I had an unexpectedly productive Cannonball evening. I'm working back at the office and my model bench is open again. After a long stretch of low modeling desire, I pulled out my paints, did a little bit, then a little more, and before long there's light at the end of the tunnel. I hope to get some new pics and get this buttoned up soon.
  3. Just saw this too. I've been a big fan of his work and over the decades would always take a little extra time to mull over his stuff in the contest issues. Sad. ?
  4. Just wow! Not a fan of the skinny rubber but those rims are utterly perfect. Killer paint!
  5. How stock does it have to be, are we talking about rebuilding interiors? Also, what's the word on grafting similar stock bodies onto race chassis if the modification amounts to swapping out enough parts to just do a body swap anyway?
  6. Really looks the part. I could've totally believed this was a Comet sport package and offered as an AMT kit.
  7. These are brilliant. I love the resourcefulness. Pretty good for a youth.
  8. I would check the model railroad catalogs. I've purchased plastic grids and catwalks and/or fencing that have made nice automotive grills.
  9. Your body work is flawless. Wow.
  10. Wow, beautiful models. The posed wheels sure add a lot. Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to more of your work.
  11. You certainly captured the luxury sport look. Beautiful model.
  12. I drove a Pinto wagon all through high school and the thought of 5-slot mags with fat meats behind that 2000cc engine is a hoot. Sure a nice looking model though and the stance is very attractive.
  13. The problem with posting updates that include goals, deadlines and progress markers is that if they are missed or unforeseen obstacles create minor setbacks, it just creates more unconstructive backlash. Let the men work.
  14. . Mac OS Catalina 10.15.2 using Safari Version 13.0.4 (15608.4.9.1.3).
  15. Funny and depressing all at once.
  16. No one says you have to build to belong. This is like a village, you can always visit when time avails and the 24 hour cafe will always have a pot on, so see ya later.
  17. Kinda weird, but it seems to be coming together well. Different is always good, so this is right up my interest alley. Looking forward to more.
  18. Pretty good resource. One of those sites where I don't know what to do with it, but I know I'll need it somewhere down the road.
  19. I see Space Junkie 2.0 sold for $44,000 at Barrett-Jackson this year. Noted in bold print NOT STREET LEGAL so you can pretty much only drive it through the show grounds.
  20. Thanks for the update. Glad you're still with it. Amazing, as always.
  21. Numbers aren't everything. Even if it has limited appeal for building, myself included, I'll be watching with great interest. Not a common group subject, which is why I'll be interested in seeing kits and techniques I'm not as familiar with.
  22. Analogous, to me, has always been risky. But it's nice to see how well it can be done thoughtfully.
  23. Ah, I see what's going on. Despite the subject title, I wasn't aware of what a Brazilian Charger was, never heard of it. You've actually captured the look pretty well. Nice work.
