    Great color.
  7. Very nice, is it all box stock or did you use and after market detail sets?
  8. I really like it when weathering is subtle to the point that you see it but at the same time you don't. If that makes sense. And you have nailed that, well done.
  9. Simply outstanding
  10. Very nice period piece.
  11. Very nice build-up
  12. I just came across your build and it freaked me out. Here is my 50 Ford that i finished 4 or 5 years ago As you can see silver w/red interior. It also has a camaro subframe. The engine is different though Can wait to see yours all done. Also great first name. more pic's http://public.fotki.com/Wojodamus/50_ford_pick-up-1/50_ford_pick-up/
  13. a few more
  14. So i finished a couple of models last year (a big year for me) This is my 57 Plymouth Suburban Sport wagon from Modelhaus along with a V8-60 midget. The wagon is factory stock painted Ivy Green Metallic and Sand Dune White. The kit went together very well with just minor additions to the exterior, side view mirrors and wipers from the AMT 57 Chrysler 300 and a radio antenna. The interior need more work. The seats were replaced and the instrument panel was totally reworked. I also added to the trunk area some items that you need for a night of racing, gas can, toolbox, bottle jack, spare tires, box of motor oils and other various items. There was also some thinning of the floorboards and top of the chassis in order to get the fit to look better. The midget is simply a working guys weekend racer with local sponsorship. I wire and plumbed the engine and also added screens to the carbs. Carb linkage was added to the firewall and heat shields were added to the exhaust by the cockpit. All of the chrome was stripped and then sprayed with Alclad. The wheels and tires came from Replicas & Miniatures Co of Maryland. The decals are homemade on a color laser printer. I probably missed some stuff but you get the idea
  15. Very nice chop. Subtle but aggressive. Any plans to tuck in the front bumper?
  16. At this years Toledo NNL there was a vendor that had resin cab's to convert the monogram 50 pick-up into a '51 or'52. For some reason I didn't pick-up his flyer. If anyone can point me in the right direction i would much appreciate it or if there is another company that does this that would work as well. Thanks Fred
  17. For a project I have built a 1/25 scale 1950's coke cooler (full scale dimension 17"x15"x12") What I'm looking for is a decal that approxiamtes this Since the lettering is in white I can't make my own, no Alps printer Any help appreciated Fred
  18. Jumping on this late. I have a Cannondale System 6. I ride whenever I can, did about 2500 mile this summer. Every July I ride in a charity ride for the Make-A-Wish foundation of Michigan. The ride goes from Traverse City to Chelsea, 3 days 300 miles. This year the 800+ riders raised $1,800,000 for the wish kids. The smiles on the kids faces makes every mile worth it 10 times over. I'm already looking forward to the 2012 ride. Fred
  19. So I will be driving thru Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison and I need a heads up as to hobby shops that are worth a visit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Fred
  20. I have built the 500 and found it to be a very nice kit to build. The only thing that i changed were the wheels and tires as the ones supplied in the kit are to small. I ended up using an XS wheel set, they were a bit to big but still looked better. I also slightly lowered the suspension. i found this pic that was taken at the Toledo NNL of it. http://public.fotki.com/MIKEHENSLEY/2011-model-car-shows/2011-toledo-nnl/10-8-11-190.html Fred
  21. Thanks for the answer. I was already going to stay away from the R&R bodies. I did take a look at the Beauville wagon and for what I need it is perfect. A fairly mainstream, pedestrian wagon. Fred
  22. I'm looking for a resin body 1/25 of a 1955 or 56 Chevy 4 door wagon. Preferably in basic trim level. Fred
  23. Mr Boyd was seen cruising the fairgrounds in the hottest new hybrid on the planet..... ....An electric picnic table with a 29 Ford front axle and a chain driven 9" rear end. Seating for 8 to go well anywhere. Fred
