Thanks Tim and no pressure.

It is the Revell kit that you can get with either a Offy or a flathead V8-60. It is an awesome kit.
-
That is my goal. Trying to keep it simple so....

The body is by Morgan Automotive Detail. Besides the body you get a front bench seat and new front to back interior panels. The quality of the casting is just as good as RMCoM, better than Modelhaus.

Did a little work on the midget. If you haven't ever built one do it. It is an awesome kit but you must dechrome the whole thing for a better build. I modified the front and rear nerf bars by adding bars to each. The kit rear is missing the middle bar that most ran with. The front bar's were often modified by the owners. I also added the deflector bars onto the rear 4-bars. Why Revell didn't include these I don't know. The dash was scratch built as the Offy had a 3 gauge panel and the kit piece has an extra hole. Cell phone pictures suck, sorry.

Ok since i finished all of one model last year I thought that I would triple my output in 2017. Going for a weekend racer and his midget. Tow vehicle will be a 4 door Ford wagon, single color paint for a basic family wagon, trunk area will have tool box and other race day needs.. I have modified the trailer with a front fairing and longer ramps. Also added a full frame to the trailer. The midget will be Offy powered with a resin nose, paint will be red and black with a local sponsor.

I only finished one as well. Same kit.

We cool project. One suggestion, the front wheel needs to be smaller. -

Late 40's Traditional '29 Ford Roadster on '32 Rails Update: 3/4/17
Taxdude replied to Dennis Lacy's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Very nice how the whole concept is coming together. One suggestion. The truck grill is very cool but it gives a heavy look to the front end. Apart from lowering and sectioning it I would cut back the grill surround by about 2 scale inches. Just a thought. -
If it isn't one thing it is another. Either way your top looks much better than the out of the box version. Over all a very cool concept and build.

I really like the bumper treatment, gets rid of the pouty lip. The grill is sharp too.
-
That is a beautiful color.
-
Very cool, the color combo is perfect for this wagon.
-
Very cool start.
