  1. Some great cars guys; Our daily driver is a 2005 Dodge caravan SXT fully loaded 1991 Dodge Ram 250 fully loaded never seen a truck with all these options (2) 1981 Chrysler Imperials, one has a rare moonroof and 35000 miles 1974 Dodge Rally (1 of 105) 400 cid big block B5 blue black interior and vinyle top, 55000 miles 1966 Plymouth Valiant V100 2dr coupe 318 cid w/4-speed 66000 miles 1953 Chrysler New Yorker DeLuxe 4 dr black over red 66000 miles 1992 360/ 300 proto-type engine. Got it from Chrysler in 92 it was the first engine they built for there Mopar Performace creat engines they started that year. Has never been in a car, only run on the dyno at Chrysler.
  2. Nice looking trucks guys, I really like the customs!
  3. Went to a local hobbie shop, Do not go there to much as it is cheaper to buy on line. Found some old Nascar models there. Found an old Ernie Even #4 Old's, Bill Elliot's #27 & #94, Rick Mast, Sterlin Marlin's #40 Dodge & a bunch of other cars from Nascar, It was the $18.00 to 23.00 that stopped me from buying?
  4. Ok have it your way. I read it that the top was done that way to take away from the fenders and sure got Cale and Nascar to look the other way. And yes there was the story about the speed thing with paint on the top, as I heard that was told to Nascar to let them keep at the top
  5. Yes the cars from the early 60's sat high in the front end for weight transfer. My Dad had a 65 Plymouth Sport Fury with 426 CID option. That car came from the factory with the front end high just like the drag cars of that time.
  6. guy's the painted on Vinyle top was put on to hide the fack that the front fenders had been cut down to compete with the more slippery fords, mercury's and chargers of the time. Richard had complained to Chrysler about driving the box(road runner). Chrysler would not let Richard Drive a charger as he was there plymouth man. That is why richard went to ford in 69, that is why chrysler built the superbird for richard in 70. If you read richards bio on him, that is why when another 68 road runner next to richards road runner at a race track dale inman richard crew chief told the other drive get that dam car out of here. Remember cale yarbought telling nascar make sure you check thar roof on richards car, i know he did something to that car roof. nascar checked it and checked again to find nothing wrong with. The painted on vinyle roof was put on to hide the fact of the cut down fenders so the car would slid through the air as good as the other makes. that fact was in richard bio, by dale inman. richard has never admitted to anything? including the over size fuel tank. Richard Petty fan and Mopar fan when nobody liked them, but kicked there you know what!
  7. cool, great job. I remember going to the Milwaukee Mile and watching Norm and Roger drive there Plymouth's.I didn't see the 64, because I first started going in 1966. I still have some of the picture hand-outs from some of the drivers. I liked the SuperBird's of 1970. Liked see the Plymouth's & Dodge's running with the Ford's,once in a while you would see a one Chevy.
  8. I would love the old mopars to be reissued and AMC's Would love to see the 50's, 60's and 70's reissued?
  9. Now thats cool. Like the looks so far. Can only get better!
  10. Well I watched it for about 1 1/2 hours, couldn't take any more. This is the most boring racing I have ever seen. I dislike Indy Car Racing, but would watch that before I watch that race again. First off you only have Ford and GM, how boring that is. Lets throw some other makes into the race, like Dodge, Toyota and any one else that would like to race. When I seen all the adds and hype for this race, I felt let down when I was watching it. Come on Guys you have got to be kidding me on this Ford, GM fans only thing. I give up, must be some down under thing that I see. I will keep watching boring NASCAR ok mate? lol
  11. Love them Barracuda's from them years 67 - 69! Owned a 67 Formula S, 273 cid, 4-spd fastback bronze wirh white interior. Your model is great!
  12. Love them old mopars. That looks like a factory color
  13. Your Merc is awesume! The chrome body and a red interior that jumps out at you? Looks great.........
  14. Cool; hopefully there bring back a lot more, of the old kits that was made by JoHan (Mopar & AMC). Can't wait for this one.
  15. cool. with Junior driving a Dodge. Would like to see pictures of that car!
  16. Try ALLPAR.COM a mopar site with tons of info on cars and engines
  17. the 440 is way better then that 455, use to beat the Buick's all day long in the 80's My 68 GTX would just show them taillights all day long....... So a 440 in a Buick would be an improvement!
  18. Tell me more about the club in Delavan,WI
  19. Let not forget about the Chrysler Hemi of the early 50's Lee Petty Drove to a Championship in 54, also was a big winner in 52 & 53. Love the model of the Hudson wish they would do the early Chrysler also. Don't forget that Indy racing band the early Hemi because of it power in a Curtis?
  20. Boy guys that sound great. Well growing up, My uncle had a auto shop and cousin had a body shop. So I was around cars all my life. By 12 yoa I was driving cars into and out of the shop, I was helping do head job and the like. I was also over helping and do body work. I can't tell you how many 55 - 57 Chevy's we worked on, take the crome off and throughing it away. Taking the front ends off and putting tilt glass frontends on. 57 Fords, GTO's, 69 COPO Camaro, 69 Z28, Road Runners Chargers and the list go's on.I was very lucky in driving a long list of cars. The first car I drove was a 1950 Hudson Hornet H. The first car I owned at 14 yoa was a 1939 Dodge Deluxe, flat head 6 with 3 on the tree. When I turned 16 i bought a 1966 Dodge Charger with a 361 cid(later a road runner 383 cid). I was the first owner of this car in 1971 as the Dodge dealers wife drove this car since 1966 as a demo. Since then I've had a loaded 67 Sport Fury with a 440, 67 Formula S Barracuda 273/ 4 spd, 68 Plymouth GTX, 49 DeSoto woodie wagon, 68 road runner, 73 road runner. At this time I own a 1953 Chrysler Deluxe (331 cid Hemi) 1966 Plymouth Valiant 2 dr coupe ( 360 mopar performance with a 4 spd, 1974 Charger Rally with a 400 cid and a auto trans & a 1981 Imperial
  21. Just to let you know, the stanard motor in the A100 was a slant 6 with a 3 speed manual trans not a V8. The 273 cid V8 engine was and option along with auto trans. PS: 198 cid slant 6 was stanard, while 225 slant 6 was a option.
  22. The car did have a chevy engine til 1973(uncompetative), and then switched to a Donovan Hemi so he could run with the other (HEMI's)cars in the his field. That is why the models you find have Hemi's in them.
  23. Like the car, but not AJ. Lost my interest in him in 69 when he race at the Milwaukee Mile. He was leading the race with less then 5 laps to go when his Ford lost its engine. After the race I (15 yoa at the time) talked my dad into waiting and going into the race track to see AJ and get is autograph. Got down to his haller along with about 200 other people, and waited for him to come out. Well after about 30 mins he comes out to the back of his semi trailer and starts yelling at his crew that he isn't sign any f**king thing for anyone and tell them fer's to get out of here. Well he ranted and raved for as long as I could hear him. He called out a lot of bad words as my father walked me away and got me away from there. To this day I don't have to much to say about AJ.
  24. Yes this model started out as the Richard Petty 1974 (43) Dodge Charger, was very detailed. Later there re-released as the Street Charger still had the stock car under pinings, but was made to look like a street car. I have both of them, the Petty Carger was a clear body and the Street Charger was a white body.
