Just to let you know that the engine in that car was Chrysler blue, not the Hemi orange of the Road Runner and GTX?

Real car recommendations
Funkster replied to JFortner5's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Talking about the Plymouth Breeze, I just bought a 1997 Breeze, very good car with great gas milage. It has 145000 on it and I only paid $900.00 for it. I'd buy another one. -
AMT '58 Plymouth Belvedere CHRISTINE kit
Funkster replied to cooltoys1's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
As far as the door locks on a 1957 - 1960 Plymouth's. There were no door lock nobs on the top of the door, as in all Mopars at the time. You locked the door by pushing the inside door handle forward to lock the door, pulled it back to open the door. I grew up with these cars as a child. Parents had 1956, 1958, 1959 and a 1960 Plymouths. On the Plymouth site Plymouth Run, it states that there was 23 Plymouths bought at the cost $500000.00 and turned them into 58 Furys. Theres a lot of info on these cars at the web site. -
Well Hi Joe, I live in Fox Lake. Would to start a club around here.

Wow, The 66 Imperial pickup truck is of a real car. The real car is in a junk yard in Hortonville, WI The Junk yard used the car as there small parts hauler in the 60's and early 70's. Didn't know there was a model of it? Also the Chrysler boat, I have one. I got it in about 1970 from the local Chrysler Dealer in Hartford WI, where the Chrysler Outboard was built. Harned Motors the local Chrysler/Plymouth & Dodge Dealer in Hartford had a big show with all the Chrysler Boats and motors the were built by Chrysler at the time. To the familys of Chrysler Outboard, they all got the model of the Chrysler Boat with outboard. Still have it today.

I've been collecting Petty stuff for ever. I have a super rare 1/24 Chevy Caprice metal/plastic kit. That was the first time I seen Richard Petty race at Michigan Speedway. I've been think about trying to collect the Franklin mint cars also.

Touchy, Touchy Terms

Mich. Madman, you are not totally right. as I see it. Chrysler Jeep would be correct as the vehicle is made by Chrysler LLC there for Chrysler Jeep correct? And so on and so Like the car made by Ford Motor car Co. Linclon & Mercury. But I do agree with Chevy GMC, it would be GM Chevy and GM GMC And yes Nascar did race stock cars at one time, Like the Road Runners, SuperBirds, Daytona, Ford Torinos were all stock cars taken from the production line and made into stock cars by Ray Nicoles, The Pettys and Holmen & Moody were the car builders. Had to change to what we have now because the car couldn't take the crash damage and save the drivers. -

Wow this kit is great, Big Mopar fan; and Mopar had some of the greatest cars in the mid to late 50's on up. 57 Fords were very cool and I'm sure thats why they out sold Chevy that year. My cousins friend had a 57 Fairlane 500 2 dr hardtop from early 60's as far as I can remember. In the early 70's I took my car to my cousins body shop and meet the guy with the 57 Ford who still had it. I asked him what it was worth and he told me he couldn't sell for what he had into it( now remember this was the early 70's) I know it had a 312 Thunderbird engine because he told me, I never looked. It had dual rear antenna's and a pair of what was called cruiser skirts on the back of the car. Loved them cruiser skirts on the cars from the early 60's. His 57 Ford was two tone yellow and black, raised in the front, lowered in the back with dual exhaust hanging out from the rear bumper at least a foot. Thats how I remember the cars from the early 60's. Oh ya he had a set Dodge Lancer full disk spinner hub caps on the car too. I too will be waiting for this model also. I just got the 68 Charger R/T for chrismas and going to be working on that soon. The other Ford I liked of the time was 56 Ford.

I got a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T kit for Chrismas. Finally someone looked around the house and got me something I like, not more socks, shirts and things like that.

Very, Very nice Dodge Dart. Not very popular, but lots of them sold. Not as popular as the 340, but not everyone could by one. Great job on a very nice looking model.
