  1. Actually the word "Ain't" was commonly used by educated people waaaaay back in time in England... it moved to The states with English settlers to the south. so it's not a redneck thing ,,,it goes much further back..( I learned of this on the discovery channel, just the other day).

  7. Am I the only one? ,, or did I accidentally hit a switch ? It just displays "no new topics" and that is almost impossible here . it worked fine until a few days ago.
  8. sweet job love the engine bay ! ,, question on the battery cable clamps , I assume they are photoetch ?.. I notice they have wings sticking out ,,, can that part be bent around to simulate the the cable clamp section ? or is that how they are meant to be .. I curious , was thinking about picking some up.

  10. pic size doesn't matter it will shrink it automatically ... it's the "file size" that will stop it from taking.... mine is much bigger in size than the displayed avatar
  11. sorry to hear of the damage and bad news... we lost almost everything in last years Nashville flood ... it has taken a year to get somewhat back to normal so I feel some of your pain... take care of your family, personal business, and ..priorities ...   13. I just do the tried and true up close "sniff test" if it still smells it ain't ready.

  15. I have used masking tape,frisket,transfer tape,liquid mask ect... in the past all with good results. Than I picked up a Roland Vinyl cutter a couple years back and ,nothing compares..I can import any design and cut it from Premium paint mask. It's ...well...awesome ! If you have a design ,I can cut if for you no problem , just PM me what you have to scale You did a great job with the materials you have,I know it's a lot of work

  17. looking good , I know that was a lot of work ! If you ever decide to go with the wavy and stars down the road ,... besides decals, I do custom cut masking.

Just last week- My wife clipped the corner of her new mustang(she worked all her life for) , when she was blocked in between a semi trailer(who was also blocked in) and a work truck full of Hispanic landscapers who were attempting to merge onto the interstate at 25 mph. !!!. guess who's stuck with the repair bill deductable....nuff said

  20. try not leaving the decal in the water , just get it wet than put in on a non absorbent surface. If the paper tries to curl , lay an exacto knife on it
  21. I have sprayed it over primer with sucess , I buffed the primer with a pantyhose first and it gave the metallic a realistic sheen, like raw metal. But it is not necessary to prime first.
  22. That might be because on a clear RC car shell, you are painting backwards (Inside out)... The chrome is protected by the clear lexan body shell.. the base coat goes over the Chrome as a backing coat, than a protective Clear to seal it all In from debris,moisture and chipping.
