  1. start sealing your decals with decal solution such as micromark rather than krylon spray paint I've produced 100's of decals for customers and seal them with decal film prior to shipping , not one single complaint of a reaction so far. under about every clear coat you can imagine
  2. get the best compressor you can afford , the ab to learn on can be cheap you will upgrade that before long , but I always recommend not to focus so much on the airbrush more on the compressor, it is often the larger investment and something you will want to be satisfied with down the road
  3. one just before the regulator is needed .. it keeps the regulator clean and trouble free. any extra is only dealing with potential moisture in the actual AB line.. so a small one at the ab input is popular. but I always make sure to have one just before the regulator... and that's usually sufficient unless you have a ton of air-line after that
  4. you can also try microscale decal film, it's great stuff even if you slather it on with a brush it is nearly undetectable once dry
  5. you "shot it" instead of sprayed it
  6. clean clear glass , I see many awesome builds hampered with marred glass
  7. a classic !
  8. the revell/model king Henry J,, but honestly I think after that first build I'm not so scared of it anymore
  9. yes(createx) auto air ...vs createx craft paint.. very different composition. Their wicked colors line is also very good
  10. wood glue(titebond ect..)... the wood will break before the joint will
  11. I skip using the clear , steel, metal , brass, magnesium, aluminum ect.. is not coated with high gloss in the real world

  13. I made one from a sewing machine ,I got it at a yard sale for $10 .... cheaper and much stronger than a dremel and has a variable speed foot pedal.
  14. this will solve the problem
  15. thank you Pat <saved to the personal archive>
  16. cool , tho are the wheels just sitting under the body ?
  17. "water-based" and acrylic (based) paints , not necessarily the same thing. I believe "regular Krylon" is an acrylic enamel ,
  18. it sounds like some form of depression and/or she is not getting a good nights sleep, good news both are treatable (my wifes an RN so I hear about these symptoms)
  19. for some reason those carbs don't seem to meld with that shiny block and intake
  20. it depends on the kit , some are great some not so great... there is a thread on here somewhere listing the good from the bad
  21. scale measurement 1:24 or 1:1......vs ......... fraction 1/24
