  1. Ben here is my other GT 500 build
  2. I have real undertail of a 5.0 and they are somewhat the same. Brembo brakes and the like. Now that things are made the rest of the build will not take so long.Im hoping to make the NNL WEST, going to be very close.
  3. Laying out my interior and going to paint soon. after the interior the suspension is next. Here are some random pics and hope they come out straight.
  4. Like all of them!
  5. VERY COOL!
  6. These are really good! Great Artwork
  7. It is a urethane clear. The mixing ratio is supposed to be 5 to 1 to 1, but for models I mix it 4 to 1 to 1. This makes it a little thinner and more to scale. 4 parts clear, one part hardner ,one part reducer.Automotive paint stores have small mixing cups with mixing ratios on the mixing cup.Hope this helps.
  8. You guys are doing a great job. Just like building models, sometimes things go wrong. Nothing is perfect in is world but people think just because you buy something it needs to be perfect. Really? Is your life perfect? Car? House? Get over it people and build it. Moebius Thank you for the kits!
  9. I believe everyone posting here is right. But if you have ever owned a 1:1 hotrod, it is never done!

  19. I would buy a dozen! Had a 914 and a 914-6. Both great cars.On hwy 5 in calif ,i got 27 miles to the gallon at 80 mph! This was the 914. The 6 would get a little less.but the fun factor is really fun.
  20. I agree with Mr.Bill Engwer, but ralley drivers have the biggest plums! IMHO
  21. Yes, I custom paint and pinstripe. I just got into modeling a few years ago because of a stroke and the doctor said modeling would be good for rehab. The answer is flow. Get the paint off the brush and onto the subject. One shot enamel , I use a grumbacher brush and mineral spirits. My mentor Mike Kline said if you go thru one gallon of this stuff then you are ready. Took 1 year and every night for about 2 hours a night. Glass is great to practice on. You stripe then wipe it off and start again. You will need a phone book to wipe your brush on or a old mag. dixie cups work great to mix colors. It is going to take alot of time but it is worth it. I make a great living at it. I have a very nice house and many real 1:1 fun cars to play with. You can make 300 dollars an hour and it is a blast to do. Here is my latest job and the guy loves it! Hope you stick to this as most people give up. that is why we can charge alot for our craft. Good luck and if you need any info send me a PM and I will try to help.
