The Thing about funny cars is it takes real talent to build these cars, everything exposed, all details to see. This is a very fine job of a great build. great job and a job well done.

Revell 1;12 scale GT500 kit. Have a coupe but had some ideas for the convt kit. Since I work at a ford dealer it was easy getting measurements to the shelbys.WE took them on test drives and what a car. Most of us cannot even run this car wide open. The parts of your bodies that you think is tough, well, not in this car. Here is a wip on this fine automobile. Hope you like.

According to Rodders Journal, Historically speaking the term "high boy"(hi boy, hiboy, etc.)Typically refered to as fenderless on a unchannelled on pre 35 roadsters. It was'nt until the 80's that the term was also used to describe hot rods with other body styles.(fenderless, unchannelled coupes, sedans, touring, phaetoms, pickups etc.) The challenge of this build was to put this 37 modified body on a unchannelled frame. The result on the later 36,37,38,39 ford bodies were not a very pleasing sight. This was the challenge. A buddy of mine (who was the youngest guy to have his hotrod on the cover of Rodders Journal) called my model the coolest 37 hiboy he has ever saw.So the name stuck.

Bernard The paint is sherman williams multi tone red to gold.code mt27. First apply a basecoat black then the multi tone paint then the hpc15 urethane clear. The clear dries hard in about 7 minutes at 110 degrees. really cool stuff. The paint dries very fast so dust does not settle on the surface. For some reason the camera picked the paint job like a root beer brown. Multi tones usually do not photograph well.It is much better in real time. Thanks guys for the great comments.
