I just could not just sit and watch tv. Sanded the seams out of the body. Primed with tamiya primer. Sprayed the blue next. It’s an automotive toner, thinned out . Urethane automotive clear really thinned out. Shot thru a pasche single stage old airbrush. I think my 1/43 corvette is going to have some competition.

Ok guys here is a 1/43 cobra. Had to paint it today. You hardly use any paint. I mix in thimble size mixing cups. And an eye dropper. This is an automotive blue toner. Mixed real thin. And a urethane clear that is also really thinned out.

Thank you Bruce. Just like bigger, it has its assembly and scale problems. One thing I do know, you sure can lose these small parts. Man they are small.

KA 1/43 monogram corvette. Box stock. A friend of mine , I’ll call him Mr. Alvarez, showed me around the NNL West years ago, and I did not not know anyone there. He introduced me to the guys and I told him I would build a 1/43 someday. He built excellent 1/43 models. He has since passed , I built my first 1/43 . I did build one, I just wish he was here to see it. I will build another. I really loved to build this corvette. Monogram did a fantastic job on the kit. I did not modify anything. Paint and build. This kit is tamiya quality. I just wish they did more 1/43 and I wish they put the same quality in their 1:25-24 kits with photoetch. My first 1/43 and not my last. Very fun kit. I bought it for $2 at our club . Received a 1/43 cobra free from one of my friends here and just traded a tamiya 1/24 Porsche for another. Now I have 2 cobras, might build a stock one and a race version. Paint is automotive very reduced for scale and the rest of the paints are tamiya and testors. I know it’s very small but I recommend this kit.

Great build. I saw this car run. One of my favorite funny cars.

Thank you Bert. I’m saving the one I have. Hopefully I’ll find it. Like you said ….. someday

Hello Exotics, these are challenge cars.

My next build is the cobra. And it looks fun also.

Here is a side view. The stance is the kit stance. No mods to get the car a nice stance. Kit was like a tamiya kit. This is one heck of a kit.

Just about finished. I’m not installing the vent windows on the doors because I have to recreate one. It went flying off of the sprue like a bullet. Lost somewhere. Left door mirror and license plate is all that’s remaining. Nice kit . I recommend it. This is out of box.

Hello guys. When I was working at the ford dealership, I was working on the ford GTs and the GT 500’s. There was one car that was unique. At that time (around 05-06) was a black GT 500 for export only. Black with grey snakeskin stripes with red pinstripes around the big stripes and side stripes. Beautiful car. The seats were black with red piping all thru the interior. This car had 640 hp rather than the 500 for the regular GT 500’s. Naturally we had to take her for a test drive. My buddy Steve, was the new car manager. I took this car an uphill on ramp and it was going sideways. Totally crazy. I took her back to the dealership and said this car will kill someone. On the sticker was in bold print, extremely powerful GT 500, be extremely careful. It went to Finland. That was the most beautiful GT 500 I have ever seen and one that made me clean my shorts. These cars should require special driving school before delivery. But fast forward to today, I work on so many C8 corvettes because of this same thing. You guys will love this one. A hemp dealer ( yes it’s legal here) has a dispensary, bought a new C8. Let his 17 year old drive it. You guys know the rest. Ran it off road. Four tires and wheels, new sub frames , 4 blown shocks. And misc other suspension items . So guys the beat goes on and on……..

I have to add…. This is a hot rod. Everything goes. Cutting , sectioning , creative painting , it’s all what you want. I have an extensive portfolio on models and real cars . Met the big guys in the industry and even built things for them. I’m working on Ferrari 296 challenge cars right now. My examples are in pics. As for models I have won the special award at the Las Vegas IPMS nationals with a few seconds and a third place award. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and mine is this is one cool build. Keep it up!
