  1. Nicely done Bernard. I dig these dragsters too.
  2. Oh yeah!! Nice. I think an AWB is next on my bench.
  3. Thanks for the comments Michael and Larry. One day, I'll get back to this. The bench is calling but I'm unable to answer.
  4. Friggin' amazin' stuff Chris. I've been jonesin' for an update and I gotta tell ya, you don't disappoint. So nice to see a rolling chassis and those dzus aren' just hittin' it outta the park, they're a walk off grand slam home run. Maybe you mentioned this earlier, but what did you use for the seat padding? It looks great especially with the pin heads. Steller work my friend!!
  5. For most of us, the forum being down was a bad thing but in your case you made some outstanding progress. This is really progressing nicely and I'm thrilled to see you're striving for accuracy and not cutting corners. As for cutting the gator board, I've found that making three passes with a new #11 X-acto blade along a straight edge works best for me; one for the top outer layer, one for the inner foam and the last one for the backside outer layer. Glad you're back at this and I'll be watching closely.
  6. Sure was nice to see these beauties in person. I studied them extensively. Really nice, clean work Steve. I'm looking forward to seeing what you bring to the next DSC.
  7. So now you're back from Sedona right? I'm jonesin' for an update. Sounds like its gonna be big.
  8. Crazy good scratch building Chris. Another fine episode in 1001 uses for printing plate. Even before you do that last modification to adjust and correct the angle of the shaft, it looks great. I'm not sure that it is even necessary.
  9. That blsnket is the bomb. Its perfect. Very nicely done.
  10. Just when you think you've seen all of John skills and talents demonstrated on any of his previous builds, he raises the bar and challenges himself even more. This build is even more over the top. I sure enjoy extensively studying his wild creations once a year at DSC each spring. John - you'll be pretty good when you grow up.
  11. Those front rims are real beauties Mark. I'll add these to the list of 1/16th scale stuff I want to order from you. Nicely done.
  12. YEAH ! ! Its D-day. A momentous occasion is about to be undertaken. History books will not be the same. To quote Flounder in Animal House, "This is gonna be great!"
  13. That interior is really starting to pop. I like the seat cover material alot but am thinking a Mexican blanket would look even better. More 'retro' I guess.
  14. Loving this dio Richard. Will be watching for more details and the exterior modifications.
  15. Chris - bud, this is crazy good. Really liking where you're heading with this tin work.
  16. Oh yea!!! I was beginning to wonder if you'd forgotten what paint was. Looking forward to the results of your spoon tests.
  17. I don't think there has on a build where we're yet to see any finish paint or a built engine.
  18. Outstanding progress bro. Love the work you've done so far.
  19. That came out awesome Tyrone. Looks great next to the Black Assassin. Now I just need to find that Serpentine font so I can get your decals done.
  20. Great update Chris. All of the progress you're making is going where no man has gone before. 99 pages and counting.
  21. Of course...bright yellow. I can't seem to get any bench time in though.
  22. Uniqueness plus ingenuity!! Love this crazy thing. Looking forward to more updates this weekend.
  23. Oh this is goin' to be so nice with that killer paint job. There's been a bit of a delay on the artwork for the decals however they will get done.
  24. Thanks for following along Bill and Tyrone. A bit of bench time in but it sure does seem like much was accomplished. Worked on the roll bars along with the pins to the chassis and body. Put together a mock-up for fitment and pictures. Here's a few with it sitting on the bench. I'm happy with the stance and the ride height.
  25. Art, Marty and David - thanks for the kind words. Art - when you come to DSC10 next year, you'll be able to take a gander at this on my shelf while the judging is going on.
