  1. Man do these two look awesome together. Individually they're a knockout but to see them together . . . amazing!! Now we just need to get Mooneyz's finished Prudhomme Vega in the same shot and we'll really have something.
  2. Me too, John, me too. I'll hopefully get some bench time in this weekend.
  3. Cool idea and nicely done.
  4. Me too Alan. Wonder where I could get the decals?
  5. WOW!! This is a great thread and I've always loved the roadsters. I have plenty of supply to build one or two and I'm going to build one just to contribute to this fun thread. Post more if you've got 'em.
  6. Oh yea!! Looks great so far. Your wiring and front end work are really well done. Does this have operable steering? Looking forward to more.
  7. Nice looking build there Brett. I hope these new decals work out for you as this is one sweet build and needs to be finished up correctly.
  8. Man this thing is spot-on perfect. I love everything about it and learned from your tutorial on making turbos too. Congrats on a mighty fine build.
  9. This wild creation won 1st place in its category as well as Best Paint at Desert Scale Classic this past weekend. Congrats my friend...very well deserved. I studied this beauty for quite some time and found myself coming back to study it some more. She's a real attention getter on the table.
  10. Monumental work Chris. You continue to break new ground with this awesome build. I was so glad to see it this past weekend.
  11. OK, where's those update photos? I'm jonesin for an update on these incredible builds and if two days go by without an update, I get real antsy.
  12. Thanks for the comments guys. Sorry you missed the event David. Would have been nice to meet you. Maybe next time.
  13. WOW Mark, those disc brakes look great. Will you be offering these?
  14. This year's DSC was another spectacular event. So many fantastic builds to view and numerous builders to chat with. I took a number of photos and once I get home, I always tell myself I didn't take nearly enough. Here's a link to my DSC9 PhotoBucket page. http://s437.photobucket.com/user/flyfshr/library/Desert%20Scale%20Classic%209?sort=3&page=1 This is a small sampling of the great models on the tables. I believe there were over 300. Enjoy!
  15. Somehow I missed hooking up with you Mark. Did you make it to the BBQ afterwards?
  16. She does look great and in person she looks even better. My hat's off to you Chris. Outstanding progress.
  17. I hope your decals were waiting for you when you got home from DSC. I had a blast hanging out with you and talking styrene and alclad.
  18. I wholeheartedly agree Danno. That thing is out of this world and its only in primer.
  19. Thanks guys for your comments. They're really appreciated. Well, I pleased to report that yesterday the carney wagon took first place in the Light Commercial category at Desert Scale Classic right up the road from me as well as taking Best Interior. I was speechless and quite humbled.

  21. Steve - if you are you going to DSC, please introduce yourself. Always nice to meet another Valley scale enthusiast.
  22. Oh yea...the day has finally arrived. Been looking forward to this since last year's event. Ray...stop on by the BBQ, we'll still be going strong at 8pm. See you all real soon.
  23. Hey guys. A few more items added to finish this one off. Now its really done. Here's some final pictures of the last updates. I made a horn and added it under the overhang of the living quarters. Some interior items were added including a wet-look towel over the edge of the sink and a smoking pipe... Made a rolled-up newspaper and put it in the rafters along with the whiskey bottle... Made a derby hat and for some texture, I sprayed it with automotive undercoating from a distance and added a fabric hatband. Its hanging next to the door. also put in a window sill of matching interior wood. This was alot of fun and I may make another early circus-type vehicle as a companion to this one. Thanks for your interest.
  24. No way is this going to be anywhere close to being on the judged tables for this year's DSC. Next year.
  25. My apologies Charlie but I added one more item. See if you can find it. I think this is now officially done. I'll post some finished pictures in the Under Glass section. Thanks for following along and your continued interest.
